LOL, who told you my plans?

Do you know if we can run Lipo in the race, or only for practice?

Reevsey 27-11-2007 11:32 AM

Guess we will have to wait and see what becomes Efra Legal, as they normally adopt all the rules with the exception of cut and shuts which are allowed, however i have noticed that next year they want truck racers to use truck tyres, did think the trucks looked strage last year with buggy tyres and a large truck body!!

Im pleased about that on truck tyres. Just got to fill them up with harder foams than usual to cope with the grip.

Chris, myself and Craig Harris are staying at the below. It's bascially £40 a night/room.

http://www.etaphotel.com/etaphotel/f...he_hotel.shtml

This is near the airport which is about 10km from the track. The track is in a village out of town, I don't even remember seeing any accomodation any closer that this last year as we were about 18km away.

At the same location is an IBIS (expesive) and a Formule 1 (shared toilets and showers but £10 a night cheaper).

Planning on staying on 3rd, 4th and 5th, with overnight ferries on the wed and sunday nights.

I hope that this little problem is not going to mean getting out all of my 40meg equipment out again:-

Questions...

How long will it take to drive there (once you've left the UK)?
What's to do around the area (i've heard rumours along the lines of 'absolutely nothing')?

xx4-nutter 28-01-2008 08:14 PM

i hear its about an hour and a half, we gonna have to rush to get the ferry on the way home !

MattW 28-01-2008 08:15 PM

You're looking at about 2 hours drive from calais, and yeah it's fair to say there isn't a massive amount around the area. Not sure about the local towns in all fairnes, but we always camp and haven't botherd verturing too far away. There is a pub just around the corner that has this "odd" billiads type game. Also a couple of other pubs just about in walking distance that look ok, think one of them is a "sports bar" or at least it i think it used to be.

2 hrs from dunkirk and bring your own loo roll.
