[quote=RLGfx;70633]no, i haven't run one, i used to have yoks though, and the YZ10 was a great car at the time,

YZ10, I remeber going head on with my ZXR and snapped a YZ10 wishbone (uncut one) and that was impressive as I only got one scratch on my wishbone. Bang on and that was with a lot of modification and trial and error. Yes the YZ10 and Lazer were the two main cars in that period of time.

But nowadays I have to admit Tamiya is gonna be hard to beat in standard form as that car is not only stunningly designed (ok not cleverly done on keeping the dirt out, but then again they are copying previous kyosho car designs) but the car is designed not to break unlike the rest of Tamiyas cars which break when its windy. Its rather unusual for them to make a good car.

Then again if you want a low maintenance car then the shaft drive Assoiciated would be a good bet as well. Its all down to which way the scales balance for you with belts and shafts. Me I am seriously thinking about the tamiya myself.

When i had my BX i only did 1 shock tower and a belt that was my fault. When i had the XX4 it was a money pit. I only had to think about booking in and it would do a belt and a wishbone in a matter of seconds. So i would say a BX or a BJ4.

Looking at the smilies and the "LOL" part, I'm guessing you mean this in an sarcastic way.
If so, I must agree. The ZX5 is as tough as a 90'ies Predator.

But you have to realise that most Tamiyas are not built to be competition models, they are designed for fun bashing, so are cheap and break easier.

I agree but my very first rc car was a falcon and seriously wind can break it, as it pretty much did on the first run, a little bump at slow speed and a costly repair. However this car is a new breed and I hope Tamiya carry on this route, as they will take a large chunk of sales from every one else.
