As usual Ian you keep your word... You said a few years back that you'll look into having one of the rooms made into an off road track and now, despite the setbacks you've had this year, you're doing it. This is great and am looking forward to coming to the new venue. :D

If you are keeping track on the Maritime Racing car club thread you will see that we are pushing hard to get this venue up and running.

We have had a great deal of interest and are hoping that the interest is still out there and burning.

As all at the club are up and ready to give you the racers a great venue and race experience.

Hope you are all well.

Due to family and other commitments Maritime Racing have not been able to get on with the build of the new off road track as much as we wanted.

We are about half way there in the new year we will be having work parties to get this venue up and running.

I will post on this forum the dates that we will be there.

We hope there is still the interest from the racers to use the venue.

If you can help and are still interested in racing with us please let us know

Can assure you that there are very many of us just waiting for the call to help and advise! I've said it before and I'll say it again 'You build it and they will come!'
As you've seen from the response to Off Road Wars (and other events around the country) there is a massive interest in indoor off-road and the South East is in need of another venue to support the considerable efforts of the team at FORCC!

Keep up the good work and post any dates for work parties here, personally will make every effort to help and advise!

I know alot of the Forcc lads are looking forward to coming to your track, quite a few of us have been driving to Taplow (Slough) to get some carpet practice in so we are well up for it!

I think you'll be suprised how many drivers you'll get, us off roaders don't mind to travel for the right track/venue.

As we know from Off road wars that the facility/meetings are ace!

Looking forward to racing there!

CML? PDA? They were built and no-one (or at least not enough) came.
Having said that there seems to be alot of interest and the good Maritime name can only help.:thumbsup:

Completely different situations and completely different relationships with owners/landlords/councils/public/racers etc., etc.
Maritime are making a supreme effort in very many RC car classes and we know that there is support both locally and around the Region.

SORRY COL BUT NOT TRUE, CML had council problems, lots of us went, PDA had much the same, good turn out at PDA and lots of support from drivers.

I will help Ian. I have many resources and very happy to use them!!!Just let us know where and when and we will be there!!!

I was up @Maritime last night and was able to see first hand the work that the club has put into the New Indoor Off Road Track. It looks amazing, even in the inbetween stage. We talked with some of the guys about what they are trying to do and it all looks really good.

I know there will be loads of support and can't wait for it to open..

Post up when we are needed to help out and I'm sure there will be some volunteers available.
