also one poor dude got hit in the face, blood everywhere...imagine if that was a kid...johnny dunn got hit on the side of the head....
i think its time to think of something more suitable and safer.
even move the hump up tight to the first corner...
its not the height its the speed thats the problem...

There is practice this Thursday (tomorrow) night - I'll be there from 5.45pm ish.

If there is enough people we will run some heats.

Track will be open from when I get there till about 9.30pm - so plenty of time to work on your setup/driving

Hi,
Speaking as the "poor dude" that got hit in the face i am ok, pair of black eyes a bad start to new year but otherwise fine. i am glad it was a 2wd clubman and not a 4wd modified that hit me though or could have been worse.......
for what its worth I have to agree about the skill level needed for the big jump, as someone who had not turned a wheel on an RC car for 15 years the jump was the bit i struggled with the least, nail it and if u lined up then bingo. by comparison i was all over the place in the technical infield sections.
overall though a fantastic track with brilliant organisation and everyone very friendly and helpful for a newcomer:thumbsup:
Ray

Best leave this for to the committee to discuss on Sunday and not trail through it on the forum. Ray was looked after at the time and is ok.
The track changes approved at the last committee meeting will hopefully be started on Thursday evening.

I'm not knocking anyone involved with the club...they have provided us with the best venue ever in Ireland in my opinion...probably one of the best in the uk...I'll forever be grateful for them..its amazing what they have done..I trust them completely on their judgement because they are as crazy as me for this sport..lol...and can't wait for sunday...bring it on!!!

Totally agree with you Mark, brilliant facility but we have to make sure that no one is injured, especially with so many kids around ( even walking in past the jump while a race is going on ).
