This was my 1st venture to the track and my 1st non (local) club event in many many years and I thought it was an awesome track driving my sc10 round. sure grip was low and it was hard to drive at times, but that was half the fun.

It's off road at the end of the day. if you want smooth things buy a touring car

I had such a laugh driving and had a really good time. well done to the track builders and everyone else involved in the event.

Ok Milzy take a deep breath :D

millzy 27-07-2009 10:17 AM

this has gone off topic now anyway

back to the SC10S of fun and less of the tally ripples.

DCM 27-07-2009 10:26 AM

I drove faster in the wet than the semi-dry on the track.... can we have the astro hosed down for the next regional :woot:

ex-sco77morgan 27-07-2009 10:27 AM

True ..... Track was AWESOME for the SC10 absolutely wicked. Couldnt get it over the far side double in one though with my 10.5 and the wind it just wasn't happening :woot:

DCM 27-07-2009 10:30 AM

I managed that, a few times, but it was a matter of gathering momentum rather than accelerating, there was quite a few aborted run-ups as the rear broke loose!!! hehe, god these trucks can take some abuse!!! Got some mods in mind now, to get traction better.

ex-sco77morgan 27-07-2009 10:33 AM

Mods, mods Noooooooo don't do it !!

I'm going to have a Stock SC10 and then if everyone is modding I'll get myself a modded one without the Mrs knowing :D

DCM 27-07-2009 10:35 AM

noooo, sotck components, might slap some CVD driveshafts in there, and get some anti-squat shims, tune the geared diff, as basically, most of the car, was as it came last week.

millzy 27-07-2009 10:38 AM

eh - i thought that was classed as set up changeds not mods?

ive allready done what you listed months ago- added anti squat got t4 cvds and then fitted soem black ball studs inbored
and gave it some extra droop on the rear

DCM 27-07-2009 10:47 AM

well, with everyone trying to keep to kit settings... they are setup changes and some mods.

Think you need some Redbull this morning dude!

ex-sco77morgan 27-07-2009 10:53 AM

You've done the set-up changes buddy but we never see you racing at the min.

ex-sco77morgan 27-07-2009 11:00 AM

That happened to me last 2 weeks

Need to get ourselves upto Hereford on a Friday about 7/8 trucks up there?

Big G 27-07-2009 11:08 AM

Hereford are racing trucks this Friday at bridge street leisure centre in leominster.

6.30 / 7pm

Last time I think there were 8 SC10's in our heat. mucho fun :D

Ben Turner 27-07-2009 11:43 AM

Well i cant beleive how fun yesteday was considering the weather was w*nk! I think if it was dry the sc10s would of been clearing the big double easy. I wish my B4 jumped aswell as the sc10 lol! As for the moaners, i think its a class venue (with the £3.50 full english ) and now i realise its only just about 30mins from me ill be going there more often. Think it was run well despite the weather and everyone messing race control about with pt numbers  Yes there was a few bumps, but every track has its traits and features, im an onroad convert, but i still enjoyed driving it :D.

And yes people if you enjoyed the sc10s yesterday get down to Leominster on friday
