Having seen and taken the pi## out of Ben and his wrenching 'skills' first hand. I predict all those going to the Jconcepts clash will be kept busy between rounds.
Ben, those pieces of paper in the bottom of your Cat SX box are called a manual.!!!!

Also: Never has a £20 bet been so safe in the E Final.

Josh, do you have any pics of either of my cars mate?

I loved the track, was one of the first tracks in ages which i could do lap after lap without finding a random bump. Granted in the early rounds I was still finding the lines and making mistakes, but later on I could really drop the hammer. Don't think I have ever driven any 4wd car as hard as I drove my SX in the A final yet still didn't roll. Somehow with my B4, in the A final I won and I backed right off to cruise, perhaps slower than cruise - yet was still setting my fastest laps of the day and put in a stonking time.

Must apologies to Barry Williams, I appreciate you stepping in marshalling while Greg was busy and I got my point across wrongly - I was just trying to say Greg is a fast marshall and I wouldn't have minded if you had left it - but I do apologise for getting on the throttle before the car was back on 4 wheels and then getting frustrated, the frustration was at myself as it only ment I needed marshalling again 2ft later.

Ask if you want any pics.

Any shots of my Yokomo B-MAX4 (white shell, Much-More stickers)?

chrispattinson 01-12-2008 09:53 AM

Thanks to everyone for supporting the meeting, and everyone involved in helping out.
Top stuff from volunteers yet again!

Josh - I'd appreciate any pictures of my cars, blue and silver and yellow B4 and a blue, silver and red TRF501X (Azarashi shell).
Thanks

Bit miffed I forgot to put my PT in for the final, after finishing 2nd in the B, never mind.

Chrislong 01-12-2008 10:13 AM

Josh, my cars are the B4 and SX. Red shell with smokey wing, white into blue spikes from the front.

Robfo 01-12-2008 12:05 PM

Really enjoyed the meeting, thought the track was spot on with a good mix of technical sections but not so difficult that we were all crashing in the bottom heat.
Cheers to Chris for letting me have TQ in 2wd but then wupping me in the final, put me in my place LOL

Any pic of my cars? Blue yellow and white Losi's

Chrislong 01-12-2008 01:36 PM

Hey Rob, don't worry - I was trying very hard, I just had to go fast and mistake free which I managed, I did make my car a little faster for the final too... You deserved TQ though, especially round 4, was good to watch.

Mike Hudson 01-12-2008 02:25 PM

I struggled with rear end grip all day with 2wd even after i changed setup for the re-run of round 4 and the final and in the end my servo gave up :( 4wd c-main win made up for it, overall enjoyed the day though thanks to all involved :)

I enjoyed the track, so thanks to all involved! :)

Thanks for the apologie Matt, dont worry about it, s**t happens:lol: still managed to finish 4th with 3 shocks :woot:

josh_smaxx 01-12-2008 06:08 PM

Lots of pics requests

I'll sift through all my pics when i get some free time and put all the good ones up (including the daft ones) so no ones missed out who has had there picture taken.

Apologies for those just racing 2wd and wanted pics, due to there only being 3 heats and me being in the middle one i didnt get chance to get any shots.

It was an early start for me set off at 5 in the morning:woot: but it was well worth it the track was very good the meeting was run very well some hard discisions where made by the guy on race control which didnt please all people but it was sorted in the end. I think I was the only X5 at the meeting which is a shame, I was not to impressed with my day after all the travel C final. I spat my dummy out with my car and was going to sell it and get something else but I am going to stick with it as it is only setup issues.
Thanks again all involved for a good meeting oh Ben I wont tell Blitz what you did to your nice new B4 shell.:woot:

N7ELA 01-12-2008 10:05 PM

I enjoyed the day, the track, the venue and facilities as always, however i was disappointed that we only had 1 set of transponders to use.

As I dont have a PT I was waiting around until the previous heat had finished before i could fit my bug, then get my car down before getting on the rostrum (usually last in a poor position).

This made things a bit of a rush and i know alot of other people who thought the same....
