uncomfortable is ACE! I am with you on this one Lee,

driving a car should be about driving, the more uncomfortable the seat the more feedback you get from the car  - the harder you can go!

punch it!

Lee 24-10-2008 08:47 AM

cheers chris i knew i could count on you to provide a manly response.

7 hours till the baby arrives

I'm with you here too!!! My only problem with punch it is that there are no marshalls to flip me over again:woot:. Still, no harm in trying!!! Had a courtesy car out yesterday while mine was serviced, i don't want non sporty seats(or car) ever again.
What colour lee, or is that a daft question?

Lee 24-10-2008 09:02 AM

i just want to be able to go round corners sideways with a cloud of smoke behind me, you know like they do on top gear, and then ill go and pay £1000 for 2 new rear tyres :(

Chris Doughty 24-10-2008 09:03 AM

speaking of non-sports seats, the most hilarious thing I have seen was when the Stig did a fast lap of the TG track in a tracktor, he slide off the side of the seat going round a corner.... so funny.

and there was another one where someone ended up in the passenger seat while taking a corner in another program, cant remember the details... but that was funny as...

A lad i knew from school crashed his car and ended up in the passanger seat, the police were looking for the driver until he came round andd told them it was him driving

Chris Doughty 24-10-2008 09:09 AM

there is a big prop shaft that limits the ability to do that in my car-to-be

Lee 24-10-2008 09:13 AM

at least you have less chance of dieing when you get a little too excited, you can only die by going into a corner too fast, i can die coming out too

Chris Doughty 24-10-2008 09:16 AM

are you claiming that my car does not have enough pony? grrr :p

Lee 24-10-2008 09:17 AM

actually i had a bit of brain fade, i thought the rx8 was FWD for some reason :(

Chris Doughty 24-10-2008 09:19 AM

FWD with a prop shaft?

are you thinking of some new drivetrain format?

rear engine front wheel drive? new front tires every 3 miles

Chrislong 24-10-2008 09:21 AM

If anybody wants uncomfortable, I have some Corbeau Forzasport 2000 seats in a box at home somewhere. They were hardly used, and were a tad uncomfortable in a Mini with full race suspension..... but it was so uncomfortable it was ace!!!

Yeh with the Mondeo, it makes no fuss about it so its easy to let the MPH climb. Although im getting into the habit of setting cruise at something sensible, warm my bum, and just glance at the road every few minutes incase it needs pointing in another direction.

Im wondering about Bluefin for it, up the BHP by 30 and the NM by about 50, and it'll be even more economical!
