Big thanx to dms - got my vortex shell- havent cut it yet but have 'tried' it over the chassis on its own with the speedo in. Looks like plenty of room!
Just about get that senser wire in, capacitor will have to sit nearest the rear though. Wil post pic when its finished- got a spider web mask which will be cool! Just got to solder those bloo*y losi connectors. Doesnt help having sausage fingers! |

Has anyone used it in a 4wd yet?
Just getting back into the hobby and just got a pred x10 and wanted fit one in the car |
Excellent service from DMS. Received ESC and 4.5 motor today. Changed ESC setting to profile 3 for 'off-road'. Tested in garden and seems ok. Will get a better test at Ludlow tonight.

Strobe - glad you got it nice and quick
Ashley - to answer your question about the tyres on Dannys car, they look like the old Losi 6 row step pins we used to run a few years back (they were great in the old gold compound) |

With regards to the speedo and the testing that ive done with it, i have to say that i really like it. As far as i can tell its a little slower that the LRP but the brakes are soooo much better which is nice for me as i like using teh brakes. Not had the chance to run the motors as of yet, hope to give them a run somewhere this weekend, so agian feel free to come and have a nose/chat if your interested. Danny |

To fit the speedo in all i did was removed the fan, ive done a bit of running without it and i have not had any problems, im having a couple of bits made up for me so that i can run the fan and ill show you once it all arrives. Alternativly you could always remove the fan and servo tape it to the chassis, so blowing the hot air away from the speedo. Thats what i used to do on my LRP cos i used to have trouble when running indoors Danny |

HTs??? |
Danny was answering a question asked earlier about what front tires he had on his car, "Losi HT's" they are a small step pin shape
|
Yes I just wondered what tyre they were as not heard of them.
|
Proper old skool mate  they were 'the' front tyre to use in the wet, back in the day
|
HT was just the compound that they made them in, it was harder than gold (which is harder than silver, then red, then pink, of which none of these softer sticky compounds existed "back in the day")
|
Used the Losi ESC last night in the S2. Not brave enough to put the 4.5 motor in. Used a Novak 6.5L Motor in stead.
Programmed in setting 3 for 'Off Road'. Very impressed with it. Came of nice and cool after 5 mins run. Speed and brakes very good. Hardly noticed the difference between it and the Novak GTB ESC. |
