I was at the longhorsley race.
It was a good weekend.
We should try and arrange more weekend races like that.

There would have been no 'Historic Longhorsley Race' without the proper RC Vehicle

Just shows the versatility of the supreme RC Car "The Buggy" any surface anywhere, anytime.
Ditch the TC's boys & join the Men!

Don't forget Jim, you have "THE TC" to thank that there's still a club at Tynemet for you to race at. Without "THE TC" the club would be long gone - we raced for years with non of you buggy lot at all :p

FastWheels 02-01-2013 05:22 PM

I knew they had some use but didn't realise just how important that use was. :D
so it was well worth your sacrifice of being lumbered with the TC's, kinda diminishes the sacrifice that Spartacus made:D

Thanks Guyz.

TCs & Buggers (So sorry was ment to be Buggies)

Happy New Year Jim, I see your affliction of 'verbal diarrhoea' has returned for the New Year. Hopefully it won't last as long as the previous dose. :p

We are both still members of this club and welcome any previous old members back into the oldest RCC club in the area.
Looking forward to next Monday, see you then.

gosh first compliment for the New Year,
knowing how stingy they say you can be
it's an honour indeed to get
something from you for free.

Careful "children", play nice, we don't want this thread going down the route of some of the Jarrow ones, starting as a bit of banter and getting out of hand when someone takes it out of context LoL:lol:
Some of the older club members will dissapprove of this kind of banter - oh wait, there arent any.....:p

Oi Stevie, stop trying to poach our racers
About time you popped back along to TyneMet occasionally anyway - you know when we race - EVERY week :p

Take care mate.

lazysurfer 04-01-2013 08:46 AM

So don't forget racing is back on this week - the above reply to Steve was slightly misleading, we dont run EVERY week - we had xmas eve and new years eve off but other than that we do.
I won't be there due to a bit of snowboarding but you all should be - AGM the following week on the 14th as well - so get deciding on your new chairman

nobby 08-01-2013 09:09 PM

Thought I would give you all quick debrief of lastnights racing in the absence of our fearless leader (until next week)
Numbers might not be correct, but here goes.
16 drivers in total with 8 touring cars and 8 buggies.
With a first time visit to tynemet for richard (sorry didn't catch your second name) but he is an old hand as he used to race back in the day. Hope your going to be a regular pal.
Some nice quick driving by Gary Armstrong in touring cars gave him tq for the finals, which he went on to convert into the win.
Nice to see Ross racing lastnight.
Buggies had a nice challenging jump come bumpy section, which was fun.
I was quite nervous as I was trying a new car, and I just managed to snatch the tq for buggies from Ross, and I hung on to take the win from mike west.
All in all a great nights racing, and Welldone to mike for running the night.
See you all nextweek for the AGM, but we will definitely getting racing in.

One of the smoothest run and most enjoyable evenings for a long time.
Great stuff, a testament to all of those involved.:)

Ray Mac 09-01-2013 07:25 PM

Monday's meeting

Commenting on the "smooth run" meeting shouldn't be a surprise for a club that's been running for over 30years with everyone doing their bit.
Our club has been run by the drivers and members since the start in 1979.
So we should 'ALL' know what, and how to do it.
Let's all try and keep the club going as well as it has through our great choice of the clubs management for all those years.
We all know Mark is standing down as chairman next Monday, so we all owe Mark a huge THANK YOU for all the time and work he has put in to our club over the last few years to keep us racing, he certainly deserves a rest.

Soap-box oratory over. See you all on Monday night.

The Old Man. :p:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks for a cracking night gents, went very well and it was good to see familiar faces from the early/mid 90's at Longbenton. Wasn't surprised it went so smoothly as it always seemed that way back then as well! My surname is Johnson and to confuse things further my dad who was with me is also known as Ritchie whereas I'm normally Richard!:eh?:

We will both be looking to come back so the search is on to build our arsenal of gear once again, it seems time doesn't stop for old RC kit!!
