whats that carbon strip for? im thinking of a tekin 5.5, how you find them?

Big G 01-09-2011 05:21 PM

supports the fan at a guess

captainlip 01-09-2011 08:03 PM

he doesnt need one with the tekin surely ?

Big G 01-09-2011 10:08 PM

while the RS pro will take any brushless motor out there when you start running <=5.5's they start to get a bit warm. I had mine thermal on a hot (for the UK 25oC) day running only a 6.5. It'll power my SP v3 5.5 to finish a 7 min final, but it gets very hot with 6 or 7 LEDS lit up so doubtful it'd last much more.

I had to gear it down to a measly 19t pinion to do that. on a 20t it was too much for our grass track.

On the high grip track I pratice, after 6 minutes of run, all the ESC leds were flashing, that's why I had a fan over the RS Pro.

For the 5.5 Tekin motor, it works like a charm :) and goes very well with all the red stuff I put on my Dex lol :)

I said it :) they are soft (much more than the standard ones) as they wear quite quick, but since I found a good setup of my slipper, they wear a lot slower :)

And for Dex Ultra picture, I have to put them on ! lol

durango skid weight needed but other than that stunning!

Andrew Twigger 08-09-2011 10:37 PM

That looks amazing. Let down only by the red/white radio wires and the scratched prop shaft!
