Ive just been reading through this thread again. Regarding guidelines, I dont think even 'guidelines' should be considered. The organisers of regionals are all experienced racers, and I think we are all capable of designing a track without anyone elses input. If a track is difficult to drive, its the same for everyone. I know, for example, that at NERCR we adhere to the BRCA rule regarding track width, and use our special calibration tool (a big stick) to check track width around the track. I know that if we took that calibration stick to some tracks, it would show that some tracks dont conform to this rule- but we dont complain about it, its the same track for everyone. As for down ramps, its nice to have down ramps, but it does take a lot of extra effort to incorporate them into a track build, and to be fair, I've been to big events (Holbeach F2 2006 finals springs to mind) with many large jumps that did not have down ramps. Lets leave track design ENTIRELY up to the hosting club without any input from non members of that club, to prevent upsetting that club, and just race round the OFFROAD track. Sorry if it seems like a bit of a rant, and its not directed at anyone in particular, just a general feeling about guidelines, .

Ian, can you please also post it in the 'official' thread, it'll get a bit lost in here.

Thanks,

LEGEND 24-04-2008 03:55 PM

It is just that i don't like making people back track to come and pick me up, but if we were on our way to batley or somewhere else then i probably would have asked. It is just that i know a person who wouldn't have to back track and has taken me a few places before so he didn't mind. :)

racdeaf 24-04-2008 04:40 PM

josh_smaxx 25-04-2008 03:27 PM

josh_smaxx 25-04-2008 03:33 PM

Is there a point in the weather when the meeting will be stopped? or is the forcast not that bad? coz i cant afford to knacker leccys but i wanna be competative.

True, but i dont think conespikes will work in that level of wetness either lol, and thats all i got.

LEGEND 25-04-2008 04:13 PM

I have a few pairs of rear tyres that you could lend, perfect for in the wet, i will be running my pred so the wheels won't fit, but they will on your B44. That sould hopefully be able to get you away, as for fronts you will just have to use what you've got. :)

Lee 25-04-2008 04:17 PM

Josh, they should be ok,if not im sire someone wil lend you some BB`s.

I think it only gets cancelled if there is a danger to peopleas in thunder and lightning or too slippy to marshall.

York was very wet last year and it still went on:thumbsup:

It just sorts the men out from the boys:lol:
