Got a favour to ask - anyone got a spare PT or two ?? Mine has frayed wires coming from the case - i can fix it, but whilst its still working partially, ive sent it off to MRT for a couple of their clones. Which means im PT-less for a couple of weeks.

Balders & Andy have offered to lend me theirs for Sunday, but i cant get up to Caldicot this friday and they are not doing Saundersfoot...

Can anyone pick one up from Caldicot friday off them or lend me a PT, or preferably two if poss as im doing 2 classes ?

ta,

Matt

Ian F 28-03-2012 09:55 AM

We have handouts and I've replaced all the batteries so should be good all day, as there isn't many without pt's I might be able to give you a handout for the day

Dyna 28-03-2012 10:53 AM

Cheers Ian, it looks like Mike is giving his to Paul Knight to bring down with him, so should be ok.... but if theres one or two there on the day spare that might be a good idea just in case :)

Thanks again.

Ian F 28-03-2012 11:15 AM

Don't remember seeing pauls name on the list

Please remember there's a late booking in fee of £2, entries close tomorrow at 12

DCM 28-03-2012 11:27 AM

Booked in, got to see if table fits in car now!

Pappisavage 28-03-2012 06:41 PM

Maybe a daft question but is there electric

Dyna 28-03-2012 07:14 PM

Or do you mean power supply to charge??

I'm sure Ian will be along soon with the answer :)

Ian F 28-03-2012 08:13 PM

I could put a sarcastic answer but won't lol, its a 1/10 electric round and you have to supply your own power

It was the power supply I was questioning and as I have never been there before and I might not have a car for part of day it seemed a reasonable question. I now know I have to go out shopping for batteries etc ready for Sun Thanks

Ian F 29-03-2012 10:31 AM

I don't think there's any outdoor meeting that have 240v supply unless you pit inside, best thing to do is buy a good leisure battery it will prove invaluable for outdoor racing, nothing worst that pushing a car because the battery has been flattened

Dyna 29-03-2012 11:24 AM

Whoops sorry for my reply, i wasnt taking the p*ss, i thought that you thought nitros were running and were asking if electrics were running too....

Yup as Ian says, very rare to find an outdoor track with 240 volt. Best bet is a good battery or genny.

However i took a diferent route.... as i rebuild & run old cars ( real ones ) i have lots of old car batteries ... i need a good battery charger so i brought this last year -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/RING-RSC8-Sm...019275&sr=1-14

I tested it on a 10+ year old Mk3 XR3i battery i had in the garage that was dead as a doornail, topped up the cells with ionised water, and cycled it twice. Put it in the XR3i, and perfect ! Never a problem with it since and holds a full charge nicely. Ive since tried it on my other old batteries, and has worked on every single one of them to a good degree. The guy next door who runs a fleet of hire vehicles brought a couple on my reccomendation, and cant sing its praises high enough.

So if you want a cheap 'lecy suplly for meetings, pop down to ATS/Kwic Fit/National, ask if they have an old high-capacity battery they have taken out of a customers car - they will give it to you for free normally, specialy if you know them - buy the above charger ( or one like it that reconditions and deep-cycles ) for 40-45 quid, and you will never have to worry about buying another charging battery ever again as you can pick up old ones for free... and if you do get a 'dud' battery that really wont recondition, just pop down and get another one.... and you get a great charger for the 'real' car into the bargain

Hope that helps...

Ian F 29-03-2012 04:27 PM

Right then booking in has closed, if you book now there will be the late penalty also I only have 1 4wd and 2 2wd space left but there's plenty of space in the truck heat

DCM 30-03-2012 04:46 PM

Will there be a shop attended on Sunday, and is there a van doing coffee and other lovely stuff??

Ian F 30-03-2012 06:35 PM

Don't know about the shop unless paul is bringing spares, food wise as per the wrca site the market is 2 mins away, If anyone is intending on leaving the venue I suggest you drop your race gear off and park your car on the road

hit5005 31-03-2012 10:30 AM

paul is going

Ian F 31-03-2012 02:45 PM

Yeah I got his entry, at the time of posting though he hadn't entered

Well done to you too for winning 2 wheel mate

Ian F 01-04-2012 07:25 PM

Yeah dave it's grey, but you sure it's yours ?, Steve welcome to our world you just need a fast car to pass them lol

Belsten 01-04-2012 07:26 PM

If it is fluro orange on the front yes, I left it on the table by marshal point 1

i4n 01-04-2012 07:29 PM

Thanks to all at Saundersfoot for a brilliant day, glad I made the effort to get there now

Was a very good track that for me seemed to get better as the day went on, it appeared deceptively simple at first glance but after a few rounds I found out how rewarding it was when you got it just right and that it wasn't simple at all!

DCM 01-04-2012 07:40 PM

Ian, six up in one of Renault finest and four cars to pass, isn't the best of moves lol...

i4n 01-04-2012 07:42 PM

Josh is expendable, couldn't you have thrown him out to increase the power to weight ration........

JACKOR33 01-04-2012 07:42 PM

Cant wait to try the track again on the 8th May for round 2 WITHOUT a massive hangover next time lol
:woot:

Ian F 01-04-2012 07:43 PM

I'll pass it on to griff dave

There's an idea!!! Dog didn't make it home though!!!

i4n 01-04-2012 07:47 PM

DOG ON THE STRAIGHT!!!!!

Ian F 01-04-2012 07:56 PM

The dog was called ted, when I left it just sat there looking at me, I took it to the farm up the road turns out it was his daughters on the opposite farm, so got him home in the end, dogs on the track are nothing new when you've been racing with Donovan lol

DCM 01-04-2012 08:00 PM

My kids wanted to take the little dog home! Was a nice dog though!
