Richard Lowe 04-03-2008 03:39 PM

Yeah they should have been beige like the X5 gear covers:p:lol:

DaveG28 04-03-2008 05:01 PM

Hi Lee, do you have the dimensions of your rx anywhere, and how much spare space it leaves in each direction in the car (including height!), I'm trying to work out if I'll get my futaba R603FS in it, or if I'll have to swap to spectrum to use a micro one or something?

1 - 1

The camberlinks look like it will hook a lot mid corner looking the length of them compared to the wishbone :)

im sure lee
will spend 2-3 hrs measuring it for you
he is such a nice man

RogerM 04-03-2008 05:05 PM

Doesn't look too bad to me ..... similar to how I have the links on the ZX5-SP and on my previous three 4wd cars (excluding the BJ4WE) .....

Northy 04-03-2008 05:06 PM

Sorry - Lee is currently unavailable. He is currently worrying to death about if he needs to run drilled or standard Losi pistons in his new ride.......

........please leave you question after the beep.

Or it could be written on the box, like futaba ones are...

With setups, are the team drivers running standard rear toe in, or customizing it to each persons preference using dremels etc?

Yes! A bad mofo!
(Mind you, the aero I drove did steer like a mofo - not necessarily bad)

On a totally unrelated car the front camber links seem to be mounted not on the kingpin, but on that other hole in the castor block: http://gallerie.automodelisme.com/di...bum=137&pos=37 Seems more reasonable, doesn't it?

Yep that looks much more sensible :)

Lee 04-03-2008 05:50 PM

That was something i had planned on trying, but i thought i would build it as kit first

Dave my vital stats are 29x24x17 anything higher than 17 and it will hit the steering rack, i had to take a smidge off the front of the rx as it was as it just caught.

super__dan 04-03-2008 08:26 PM

Just reading some posts, does the car not have any toe in as std?

Lee 04-03-2008 08:30 PM

Erm..... It has some on the front if you want it;)

DaveG28 04-03-2008 09:38 PM

I've never known an rc car run without rear toe in, don't they use it make the car more stable accelerating?

Is it not likely to fishtail badly without it?

bigred5765 04-03-2008 09:50 PM

its so thin it works like a shark fin and need's no toe in
lol

Hmm, much spare space, mine is 39x26x14? Although there's another lump on top of that, hopefully I'll find a way of gettin the higher bit out of way of the link!

Dave

RogerM 04-03-2008 11:09 PM

Used to run very little toe in on the rear of the Pred ... about 0.5 deg per side .... agree though that it will benefit from having some toe in at the rear

Lee 04-03-2008 11:25 PM

I think pidge actually won tiverton national with a 0 Block, i dont think he had the 3 degree one made up till a while later:)

I have made a block up to give it around 3 degrees, i got a 6x6 ali bar from b&q and got the dremel out , its pretty easy to do. But aero will have some out in the next few weeks if you dont fancy that option:thumbsup:

gramey 04-03-2008 11:33 PM

:)I had a similar issue with my Predator when I had it and I did as you've already thought and velcroed it to the inside of the shell. It made it easy to swap between cars and saved squeezing it in somewhere and trying to shoe horn it in and out evertime you wanted to swap it over.:)

DaveG28 05-03-2008 12:05 AM

Wonder if I could do the same with that rx....:o

DaveG28 05-03-2008 12:53 AM

By the way, is that an S9550 I see in there Lee? If so do you know ehere you got your servo horn from, I am struggling to find one that isn;t aluminium!?

Lee 05-03-2008 09:02 AM

Dave you could remove the casing and heatshrink the reciever if you wanted, that might help:)

Also yes it is a S9550, i just used a horn i had from a kit i hadnt used, like a b4 or a bj4.

Legend

jimmy 05-03-2008 10:28 AM

I don't think that's correct but I could be wrong - the toe-in was there on the early prototype but the later ones had less/none

DaveG28 06-03-2008 09:32 PM

Just had an e-mail back from the AERO guys,

kit diff balls are carbide, and the size is 3/32. (guess the size makes sense now I remember the diff screws are imperial, so the balls would be too!).

Glad they're carbide, should last longer!

Dave

V-Rossi 06-06-2008 06:49 PM

Are you guys happy with the Aero? I heard its balance during long jumps isn't that good. Any other stuff I should know?

Okawari 24-06-2008 05:00 AM

Please advise me.

Hello,everyone!

It is a contribution from Japan.
I want to buy A-One.
However, I transmitted an email to BK Racing, but there is not an answer. :eh?:
I know that The Raceplace sells it.
However, I want to buy it from them directly because I want to buy various parts and Kit.
Would you do any good advice?

Thank you.
