Thanks guys
|
Did some back to back testing last night at Bracklesham Barn club with TLR weight, No TLR weight and the Cream RC weight and it was much better with the Cream RC weight. No pendulum, loads more rear end grip even with tyres starting to go off.
|
Fitted the 'Cream' weight in my 22...
Seemed to work really well. Pic here: http://pipskiracing.blogspot.com/201...its-track.html |

I have received the weight from Cream. It is jolly good, but it makes the car roll quite a lot when cornering. Has anyone else experienced this and what can I do to prevent this from occuriing? :D |

right then car set up is mid mount
front 25 kick 5 deg caster 55 piston red spring 27.5w oil shock middle on tower/ inside on arm tyres mini pins all links as kit spec rear tow 4 deg 2.5 antisquat 55 piston white spring 20w oil shock middle on tower / inside on arm cream weight chassis in its short config mini pins all links as kit spec ride hight as low as pos when racing indoor on carpet out cide on astro and grass the same but with fastrax turf grippers all around and running rear arms level with front maching so chassis is level |
Rear shock oil weight is too low compared to what is being used in the front.

Your front shock setup is a little off.
Put 2.5mm internal spacers in shock to calm some of the weight transfer on power Your front springs are way too soft for carpet and minipins Go for a green spring and move bottom of shock to middle camber link should remain kit but remove the 2mm under ball stud as this causes the car to hold on to the corner too long Now for the rear. Your oil piston is not as far out as kayce would make out! Try 27.5wt but with the 54 piston Keep the white springs Move the upper mount to outer to help support the car mid corner Rear camber link works really well with 1e. With 3mm under outer ball Keep everything else the same as you describe Oh and go for around 18mm ride height all round This setup is proven to work really well on carpet It's very easy to drive with no negative traits In fact its a really good standard setup for grass and astro aswell. It only every requires fine tuning to track or driver preferences |

hi there thanks for the info would the info you have given me for the front be good on astro /grass our is that just for carpet with mini pins ? on the astro/grass track i race on i am running mini spikes front and rear also the astro/grass track is very bumpy as it is normaly a 1/8th rally cross track and is in ledbury |

i race every friday indoor on carpet
but as i have done my first meet out cide on astro / grass i would like to get a good sut up for this as this is the main race i wont to do well in |
Start with exactly the same setup for the outdoor track as the setup I have given u for indoors
If the car is a little lively over the bumps then raise the car a mm or two If still not right then go to 25wt oil all round Most important though. Follow all my changes. Not just a couple of bits here and there as they all work with each other to create a balanced car Hth |
Thanks I will give it a go

There are dozens of set-ups already listed here on this forum, as well as many others used by team drivers on TLR.com - and it seems you should be able to find something that works - and a big part of RCing is a willingness to try things, and find out what works for you and your driving style and the tracks you run, and not just randomly posting each week with a supposed issue after a minor change. Good luck in your search. |

ran the cream weight last night for the first time. Gotta say at first I was running same times as without it per lap times. Then i took the TLR weight off the back and the car was much more consistent and I broke my track record by a lap. If you dont have the cream weight get it. You wont be disappointed at all.

For those asking where they fit. Here you go.
