How about the V-Dezign 12th Pan Car for £280 before shipping.

People will buy them because of the quality and perceived advantage they are getting.

What changes from the pre-production models are there likely to be?

Some attempts were made to talk me out of the c4.1 because, compared to the DEX210 production model at the Invernational, the c4.1 wasn't so polished. My take is that this is an apples-to-oranges comparison, as the c4.1s on show at the same event were pre-production.

It's apples to oranges, because the C4.1 is a conversion kit for an existing car.

If you already have a b4 with spares and everything, changing to a durango will cost you a lot more, even if the car itself costs less (compared to new b4 kit + c4.1 conversion).

That was my thought. I also wanted to keep the B4 for a dirt track I run at, and the c4.1 for astro.

hold your breath

I hear a whisper of around the 12th September for this beast to hit the stores! I'm not in the habit of wishing my days away.....but has anybody else got that 'night before Christmas when you were 7 years old' feeling? :p lol

Crash 30-08-2011 12:05 PM

centro a go go :)

I am really shocked at the lack of info regarding either the true release date or the shipped spec. Obviously there is a big anticipation for this buggy...but no info is very frustrating...it of course does fuel healthy pre release speculation but also makes it very difficult for some people who may be currently trying to weigh up their first mid motor car....I've spoken to a few recently who have chosen other brands due to lack of info from CML. Now of course the buggy is set to be amazing but alot of us have based our pre orders on seeing the proto versions....fingers crossed we get some info fairly sharpish as I think I speak for a lot of people when I say...we cant wait...come on CML...INFO PLEEEEASE??
:thumbsup::thumbsup:

arransmith27 01-09-2011 07:29 AM

Hmmmmmm..... Durango DEX210 for me at this rate.....

Must say that being left in the dark and the lack of info is starting to get a bit annoying :(

PTRU 01-09-2011 11:43 AM

Parts are still in production no point letting anybody know about a date until CML have all the parts in one place saying that it should be soon:)

Richard Lowe 01-09-2011 01:22 PM

I think Keith (KRob who'd normally update the progress on this thread) is on holiday at the moment... :)

You couldn't exactly say what parts could you?

Adyb 01-09-2011 07:19 PM

Don't see the point in moaning about when the car will be released. This season is almost over and a new car now will make no difference to overall results. Car will be here before the winter season kicks in, do winter testing with the car and shake down for next year.
No point jumping ship and getting a car you will regret later on.

Results speak for themselves so it's defo worth the wait.

Cragg is an exception, but its the rest of the teams results that have jumped up that makes this car interesting (no disrespect to the other drivers, you know what i mean);):D

wezzer 02-09-2011 01:28 PM

Hi
ok the lack of info is that there is none ! if we had anything new to tell you we would
the car is still in pre production and any info or delivery dates will be released as and when its ready !

Seems like a steal at that price! :) if that's the RRP then I'm sure most competative retailers will discount it slightly as well. Although seeing a low RRP does make me worry a bit.....cheaper is virtually never better in my humble experience so my main question would be, what may they leave out or produce cheaply to sell at the low price compared to their rivals....they still gotta make money as well?

Well at least good old TrackSide have been forward thinking enough to put a RRP up online, well done chaps as its great to see some info released, keep the discussions flowing guys and gals, the rumour mill continues to churn :)

Looks a good price to me, perhaps some bits are being made out of this country to bring cost's down, just now need to purchase a new b4.1 so everything is nice and new :)

It would be great news if a few suppliers offered a deal if you purchased the b4.1 and the centro at the same time, not only would it make great value for us, but would also sell more kits for them. Win win :)

We have already put a pre-order "combo" price on our DMS website for both the B4.1 and C4.1 together......

However the £149.99 RRP that is being shown around we are "reliably" informed by people very high up at CML that it is now NOT a very realistic estimate as to what the RRP will be when it does come out. They had hoped for it to be £150 but as costs have risen it is now far more likely to be higher sadly.....

The truth is, until CML get ALL of the parts in and the fit and function on them all is spot on etc they cannot confirm what the RRP will be, however they are currently informing shops like us that they "expect" it to be around the £170 mark at present which is what our pre-order is based on.....

But bodies are not what they have been waiting for.......

So dont think this makes any huge change to when it is coming tbh.

Darren

Can you get me a shell ASAP if possible?
Will they let you order these yet??

Gaz

KRob 15-09-2011 10:35 AM

Nothing set in stone yet, but not much longer hopefully.

Waiting on first production items to arrive within the next 14 days or so, then once they have been QC'd then it will only be a few days after and we should have it all available.

The instructions will probably be the final stumbling block so if people are desperate to get the kits then we could probably release them without any formal instructions. But then it's not rocket surgery anyway...

As for bodyshells. We have those (enough for kits and to be able to list as a spare). We'll get a part number and price sorted and as soon as we have that info we'll get it posted here.

GRIFF55 15-09-2011 11:02 AM

Sorry kieth......rocket surgery! That's awesome:thumbsup: is it similar to brain science:woot:
Is there going to be a new design shell or is the sexy one the guys are running going out with the kit? ( hope it is )

Hi Gaz,

Nothing coming out from CML at present as per Keiths post really

peetbee 15-09-2011 12:02 PM

Don't worry about instructions, I'm sure we'll be fine!

Initial batch will be the S2 shell we're running on the prototypes I think :)

wezzer 15-09-2011 01:56 PM
