I think one of the reasons Aero use a plastic chassis is it is the only cost efective way to mold sompthing that complex,I suppose they could have used graphite like the losi but I am no expert. but like has already been said the most prefer the B4 with plastic and I have never heard anyone say it week.I think you can get Info on the Aero from there web site, think there is a link on here somewere.

530 Euro's apparently, thats very pricey, although I guess their being hit by the recent change in the exchange rate!

£400 for a kit though, ouch, does anyone more in the know than me have reasons to think this car will be a bit special, it won last seasons nationals didn't it, are some top guys running it again this year?

Lee 31-01-2008 07:38 PM

All i know is Kev Lee is running it as a team driver in the uk. I assume the team will be small due to it being a small company, like xfactory.

you are also right the car did win last years nationals

but that is done to keep manufacturing cost down, it,s fare easer to machine a flat carbon chassis then have a mould made.

KevLee 31-01-2008 08:20 PM

You will see this car very shortly, and you will not be dissapointed:thumbsup:.

If you have a look through http://www.aeroracing.eu at some of the news reports you will find some pictures of the parts. I think there are some in this section on oOple too.:)

spenner 01-02-2008 08:16 PM

Nothing under any hats!!!

Aero have there own wheels for the Aero one....

But you can use Losi fronts/Rears or Assoc rears...

xx4-nutter 01-02-2008 08:33 PM

lol fair enough, ohh the losi wheels thing was a mis quote lol ..

just that comment that cooper made got me thinking thats all

Cooper 01-02-2008 08:55 PM

Lee 01-02-2008 09:02 PM

Depends on who is doing the thinking:thumbsup:

xx4-nutter 01-02-2008 09:13 PM

what was you actually getting at cooper ?

racingdwarf 01-02-2008 09:17 PM

Aero wheels..........smooth on the outside, soft & full of bubbles on the inside:woot:..........Oh come on it had to be said:lol:

Lee 01-02-2008 10:12 PM

Im sure Aero have "thought" about a 2wd but as we can see they have been very busy and invested a lot of time and money into the 4wd and will want to recoup some of that cash back. If you think about it very few of the manufactures have a 2wd and a 4 wd, even AE have only just released theirs. I think the main thing that will hold aero back as a company is cash flow, as making small batches of cars is very expensive and they will not sell thousands of these cars. I really hope it works for the average joe and im sure it will as it would be great to see something different to a bj4 clone:)

xx4-nutter 01-02-2008 10:22 PM

some good points there lee, see what you mean :)

DaveG28 02-02-2008 11:39 PM

So, not sure if this needs a new thread, but does anyone know (probably Kevin as he's the driver!) what will be useful spares to keep with them based on last year, eg shock towers, arms etc?

DaveG28 04-02-2008 01:13 AM

Havong trawled the forums on here a bit for info, will there be a separate tool needed to set the slipper etc, and if so how much is it likely to cost and how easy to get hold of will it be?

Dave
