discountbedsbelfast - wonder who that could be....! Racing Tamiya was going well as far as I could see. Think that guy has raced before.

Good to see another brother team out last night too - just like the Scott Bros only 20 (?) years older :)

Myself and warren should be there.

ian h 19-01-2010 06:07 PM

I might head up tomorrow.

eda 19-01-2010 06:12 PM

You will all be very welcome - sounds like a good crowd gathering up. Do you reckon anybody else from South of the border is likely to make it?

I know that I have to get up racing with you guys at some stage. But definitely not this week.

After the Petit race only got to bed at 3am today, then up at 8 for work.

MiCk B. :-)

Mole2K:

Told ya! B4 looked good last night - on the pace right from the start!

mole2k 21-01-2010 02:48 PM

It was awesome, really easy to drive. It actually felt far easier to drive around there than the 4wd does.

Have you woke up yet big man? Straight from racing to a night shift - you are madder than me!:o:D SC10 looked good last night, loads of fun:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

mole2k 21-01-2010 04:19 PM

I thought the big tabletop was awesome there last night, quite tricky to get right and if you overshot it the wet astroturf was a good punishment!

I also thing warrens decided on getting a B4, he's drove rob's and my one and he loved them both so I would say within a couple of weeks he could have one racing!

discountbedsbelfast 21-01-2010 04:51 PM

Not long up....:bored::bored: yea enjoyed the racing but had to go
to work:cry::cry::cry::cry: look forward to next time !!!!!

eda 21-01-2010 06:07 PM

Warren always goes well at DIR, no probs over the jumps!

Where is Robert Reid these days? Haven't seen much of him or his new B4 recently.

The wall of death was awesome tonight! Cant wait to get the B4 out on it so I can really get a bit of silly high jumping going :D. Couldnt really risk the 501x as I need to wheel it out for tomorrow night in fivemiletown!

I'll have to take the video camera up next time round and take a new video, make a push to get more people up there so we have a good A-Final to video!

eda 18-02-2010 09:17 AM

Hard to beat a bit of good roof racing! The mighty T4 handled it ok, but the poor rear shock tower gave up in the end. Too many thumps down square on the roof from 12 feet up. :o:D

I did notice that you didnt run anymore after you nearly hit the roof and had the heavy landing on the flat!

I was quite pleased I managed to get about 2ft off the top of the wall and still turn and land on the downramp :P

FOR INFO:

Racing at the Drop Inn, Craigavon, is moving to Friday night this week instead of Wednesday. (The hall was double booked :bored:) So our new race night is Friday 14th May, 7-10 or much later as it's Friday ;)

We have a pretty good track layout now with plenty of air-time guaranteed, so lets make this race night a good one with lots of racers!

eda 12-05-2010 11:17 AM

** Don't Forget !*

No racing at the Drop Inn Craigavon this evening - will be on this Friday 7-10pm instead.

eda 25-10-2010 08:41 PM

Racing at Drop Inn Craigavon this week (Wednesday 27th October) - will be at 8.30 instead of 7, as hall is being used for a football tournament earlier.

eda 07-12-2010 11:43 AM

Racing at Drop Inn Craigavon this week - Wednesday 8th December - is CANCELLED.

Next racing @ DIR is scheduled for Wednesday 22nd December, 7-10 pm.

eda 01-01-2011 06:40 PM

Drop Inn Racing will be open from 2 - 6 pm this Bank Holiday Monday, (3rd Jan) just to give everyone a chance to set up Santa's new toys!

Our regular fortnightly racing starts next Wednesday 5th Jan, 7 - 10 pm. Here's hoping for a great 2011!

colmo 06-01-2011 05:07 PM

Last Wednesday definitely qualifies for my worst night's racing at the Drop Inn...and there's plenty of competition.

Broke a rear shock tower (the one spare I don't have) in practice before the first heat, and then broke another (thanks for the loan, Ed!) in exactly the same place on the first attempt at the tabletop at the start of the second heat, for a grand total of zero completed laps; in fact, just one completed corner...

Please, please, please don't put the tabletop there again - it was very hard to lineup right.

On a positive note, it was great to see the Tamiya squad for the first time, their enthusiasm was what kept me from slinging a rope over a rafter...

DIR Championship

2nd February to 22nd June
(Best 8 of 11 Rounds to count)

Entry fee: Adult £10 / Junior £5

Trophies for Junior (U16) & Senior

Don't miss it!

jimlee 29-01-2011 10:21 PM

Great to see the new Championship Ed....best way to keep a club going and the interest of its members. Good luck with the scoring....lol

eda 04-08-2011 08:58 AM

So, nearly 3 years after starting out (in a small dusty floor hall surrounded by broken furniture!) it was good to see 15 enthusiastic 1/10 off-road racers last night at the Drop Inn Craigavon. With one Club Championship behind us we are looking forward to hopefully a bigger and even better one starting in September. (Classes for 2wd & for 4wd just one of the things being looked at). As mentioned last night there are a few races coming up which should be good craic, as well as giving us the opportunity to support other clubs and try racing on different surfaces. With holidays, work and loads of other stuff none of us can get everywhere obviously enough, but if you are interested in heading to any of these events feel free to txt or PM me and maybe we can arrange to share transport.

Sunday 6th August: BADMCC Club at Aghalee, Moira. Outdoor dirt track.

Saturday 13th August: NIMCC Club at Ecos, Ballymena. Outdoor astroturf track.

Sunday 14th August: DMCC Club at Lucan, Dublin. Outdoor grass track.
