@ skyaflake - how did you achieve the paintwork effect on the blue sections?

@ corsa148 - what is the picture on the shell? Any close-ups to share?

I think the blue is done with cling film while the paint is still wet

I'm not sure, but it looks like it might be the inner tube from a bicycle plus tie wraps? :)

Ahh yes, first glance had looked like a custom shaped piece, but now you've said that I think you are right

ralphee 16-04-2015 06:52 AM

It has a Kifo sticker because they rock, and ive spent enough with Keith to warrant it lol!
The protectors are TC tyres cut and zip tied, not pretty, but last longer than any lexan ones ive made, simple but they do the job, ive still got minty towers haha!

Cheers - I'm getting better with each one I do

Not up to the standards of some of the pros on here, but strangely satisfying to do my own

Best use of TC tyres I've heard of. Much more exciting than actually running them on a TC anyway .

Hehe, you know, after around 10 years out of racing RC, the one thing i swore id never do again, was TC racing lol, this is my first foray into using a buggy for its intended purpose, and its epic fun!

As I'm off work with a fubared ankle, I've taken the time to mess with the yz2. Doesn't look like a massive difference. But I've rerouted the Servo, Esc and Transponder wires to neaten her up a bit. Didn't like the wires all crunched up behind and beside the servo. Looks much better now :D

Got even more bored. Hid the transponder and capacitor too. Got a new foam piece coming Thursday as I've butchered that poor thing by the receiver.

New Kifo body on mine, first time out i got Tboned hard, by an on coming car landing the wrong side of the piping!!!!!! Had to trim a tiny amount up the rear corners as it creased the rear side pod corner, luckily its still fine with a slight trim to remove the ugly spot lol.
