there is some great beer in Sweden - i enjoyed the carlsberg sort guld ('black gold') but it only seems to be available in the nordic coutries - that said there are also lots of local ales, though i found quite a few of them to be a bit crap, but you can't beat dear old blighty for sheer variety. most from Skinners or St austell brewery is great (cornwall) like tribute or heligan honey.

Matisse 30-01-2009 08:49 PM

right now i are mostly drinking Kasteel Cru!! a cracking beer made using champagne yeast, fruity!!

Rebelrc 30-01-2009 09:50 PM

dos eqisse (XX) mexican larger its ace quite strong about 5.1 but tastes realy weak so you drink lots of it!:)

Chrislong 30-01-2009 10:29 PM

Cobra's are good, especially draught. Even better with a ring sting enducing curry.

But for drinking with a DVD a bottle of wine is nice, red or white, fizzy or flat. mmmmmmmh. refreshing.

Stu 30-01-2009 10:46 PM

Badger Golden Glory.

Thomas P 27-03-2009 06:54 PM

Cobra is a good beer, can drink gallons!

a good 100% blue agave tequila is a better drink than beer for me.

emtee 13-06-2009 03:50 PM

Budwieser draught for me... not forgetting the occasional Cuba Libre with ice... However, I do like the odd pint of wife-beater (that's Stella for the unitiated..!) if I wanna get hurt!;)

There isn't quite the choice in beers in Northern Ireland you'd get elsewhere in the UK - Guiness is (rightly) all-conquering in this land.

All time favourite: Warsteiner (first discovered in Argentina), can be found in places in the UK.
New Zealand: Monteith's Black
Ethiopia: Dashen or Harer (it amuses me that one of the finest breweries in East Africa is situated in the 4th holiest Muslim city)
Ireland: Hard to beat a Guiness, preferably Extra Cold.

ryanlownie 13-06-2009 05:47 PM

Has to be Stella for beer and seeing as everyone's mentioning their non-beer faves, mine is Sailor Jerry's & Coke.

boultspeed 13-06-2009 07:00 PM

another for Stella (wife beater)

I remember drinking this in a pub when at Tiverton national a few years ago. They served it completely flat, with no head:thumbdown: These people need educating:p

Samuel Smiths Imperial stout is one of my all time favourites:thumbsup:, I do like a good dark but slightly sweet stout;)
If anyone likes that sort of thing, I can highly reccommend Zywiec Porter, However its only made once or twice yearly and I have never seen it outside of Poland:(
