I may be wrong, but isn't that the 2011 car. I'm pretty sure Marussia haven't yet released their new car.

AS they failed one test they cannot test it so its first outing will be at the actual race.

I did see a while back there is a bit of a debacle on Red Bulls nose step.
I seems to have a vent, or intake, that allows air to "circulate" the driver.
Yeah, OK Adrian.....sure, its not any form of downforce aid at all huh lol.
Wouldnt be a new F1 season proper, if we didnt have any tech scandal.

I'm hoping for a few things:

- Big teams struggling to end up in the points.
- A driver and/or team (or several) performing waaaay better than expected (like HRT ending in the points with an untested car or something :) )
- More overtaking (and not due to DRS or tires, I mean purely down to driving skill - which probably means they need slower cars - especially through the corners - if you ask me, not a bad thing at all).

Personally, I'm hoping Williams will overtake everyone this year as if everyone's standing still - though perhaps not realistic you have to admit it would be funny to watch :p

I just want to see Mclaren have a decent car from the get go, not a Lemon they have to B spec or whatever at the first opportunity.....in all, i want to see some "racing" at the front....not a runaway precession.

First if they slow the cars down and they were all equal (lets say) then it would be really boring and these guys are so good that there would be much less overtaking in my opinion.

Secondly I enjoyed last season for the most part, seemed to be alot more over taking than the previous couple of seasons before even if it was down to drs etc. I'm looking forward to wathing again whatever the case and an only hope theyve all stepped up there game to make it more competetive

I still love to see Rossi do his thing on a GP bike though :p

I aggree, i think its about time Mclaren build a proper championship winning car, like the ones Senna used to embarrass everyone with :woot: even when Hamilton won the championship it wasn't anything massively special :bored:

Nas 03-03-2012 10:38 PM

Hamilton won a championship??? when was this :lol:

It wasn't Senna's car, It was Senna himself, pushing himself to the EXTREME boundaries of his car, breaking, cornering at the last second. He was a true legend. It was just the Man and the Car,now its Man, electronics and the car.

Thanks.

matthew 03-03-2012 11:38 PM

Hamilton won the chapionship in 2008 I think was mate, just hope he can do it again this sesson.

Nas 04-03-2012 12:09 AM

If you ever bother to watch a MotoGP race, you would realise just how stupid you sound

That's very true, Ayrton Senna was the best racing driver who ever lived. i think Mark Webber deserves the championship this year. He is more than capable of doing it he just needs vettel to let him have some attention in the team.

I would also love Lewis to win another one though

I personally prefer Jenson to Hamilton, though I do like them both to do well just Hamilton throws his rattle out when something isnt going right for him, I used to think he was a nice guy but he seems to of got a bit harrogant over the last couple of seasons.

On the note of senna a great driver also needs a great car, though the guy had truly NO FEAR!!

Burty248 04-03-2012 09:52 AM

The reason for the stepped nose is due to the high chassis that puts more air under the car.

as Maclaren are the only ones with a low chassis they are the only ones that have managed to have a smooth sloped nose. So we will have to see which is better for the new rules.

Maclaren run with the same chassis last year so i don't think the nose changes will effect much.

But the main thing all the teams are looking at is the back and how to get round the banned rear diffuser. i think Mercedes may have got round this already but i cant remember what i read autosport.

F1 rules over MotoGP even though I enjoy both.

Looks like you've got that, Ferrari seem to be struggling right now.

Last year we had more overtaking than there has ever been in recent times. More interesting, last year there was more non-DRS overtaking than DRS overtaking. I always thought the overtaking problem with the new cars in 09/10 was more down to engines hitting the rev limiter rather than aerodynamics and with them geared for DRS they can also overtake elsewhere on the track. Look at Buttons non DRS overtake on Alonso at Brazil, that wouldn't have happened in previous years.
