Cheers! It looks much better and brighter in the flesh, doubt I'll get proper pics before it's dispatched though :(

HAHA!! i really must get a proper area set aside for photos..... that's a lego advent calender (shows how long ago i painted those..... ) and it's awesome! you get one wee kit a day to build up a city type scene.... i think i'm getting more value out of it that the kids :P

Re: your photo's. This is the one thing that no one bothers with on here, there's always distracting stuff in the background. Go to your local Art shop, buy the biggest piece of White paper or thin card they sell. Store it at home behind your desk or somewhere flat. When you come to do your photo's, curve it up against a wall so you have an infinity curve. Set the camera on a tripod and zoom into the shell so you only have white and a shell showing. If you want to be real clever go to a cheapy shop, buy some shower curtain, get 2 angle poise lamps with reasonably bright white bulbs in them, use the show curtain to diffuse their light. Snap away. Instant cheap home photo set up :) |
Will get something sorted, cheers for the heads up ;) would have been different 7 or 8 years ago when I had the website and was painting flat out, but as now it's just for mates and whoever asks me nicely, I'm not so stressed :D

Just a quickie, I've a load of pics to upload when I get a chance.
However, I've compiled the step through I did on my FB page into a video on YouTube, so have a nosey, if it's your sort of thing! Thanks. Chris. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uD_vXhBHjwQ&sns=em |
Very nice. Especially like the stuff for Luke - I like the design - used a simplified version for my lad a few times. He's a bit of a Kamikaze pilot, so best not waste hours doing tarty shells for him... ;-)
cheers Ju |
great paint
great fx like the tc shell:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Great little video Chris ! If anyone need to know how to do this they should watch that a few times I think it covers everything !
|
Thanks lads,
Ju, I can't really take credit for the design on Luke's shells, he came to me with it, I just fiddled about with it a wee bit. Seen your version though, looks great! Thanks for the kind words :) Cheers Ian, it's just the photos from the live step through I did on my FB page a while ago. They got out of sequence on my FB gallery, so it was just a way of making it easier to follow. It's been getting some nice feedback, though. |
