That wall of death was just what was needed....some proper welsh boy madness! :) Bendigedig Adrian!

AdrianJones 11-02-2008 11:41 PM

Just got home now from being at the club all day. The Wall of death is now wider to help with coming down the ramp! had fun playing with the following cars on it:

Mardave V12
TA RC18R
Tamiya Avante MK2
Tamiya TT01 Tourer
Tamiya TT01 Drifter
TA B4

every car was ace and managed to reach the top of the ramp, even the Mardave with a bit of a run up!!

Going back to the club tomorrow again to build some low long ramps. and hopefully some down ramps for the other existing jumps. Maybe even a table top would be nice!

Keep you all posted

Is this all in the hall at the outdoor track near the kellogs factory?

If so, I've not stepped foot in there in years. The last time I was in there it was packed with people for a wedding reception or something and they had the boxing on the TV, think chris eubank was fight some welsh bloke.....and of cousre my bro was cheering for eubank....and getting some, not so nice looks from the welsh locals!!........so we left quickly when eubanks won.

Looking good though.

I don't think it's on until the 20th Feb.

I'm pretty sure of that.

Yup the 20th is correct, still got some work to do before we start racing. I want the track to be sorted and if we raced tonight it would not be right.

Well..

After a short moped trip to the club with racing gear on board!

I decided to try the wall of death, when taken properly is very very good and truly is a work of genius, when your me its rely rely bad.

When playing silly F***ers i decided to see if a 30ft long wall ride was possible resulting in the whole rear end being torn off, not good!

Then some zip ties and superglue later it was round 2 and this time tore the whole front end off!

Total broken today:

Front hub
Front c-hub
Front arm brace
Front shock tower
Front steering rack holder/front brace holder thingy
Graphite chassis
Rear drive shaft
Rear c mount
Rear hinge pin brace
Rear chassis piece

I MUST stress it isn't a car killer just i was doing extremely extremely stupid jumps.

Hope to see you all there and pics to follow.

I'm more concerned with the blatant use of Win-blows XP.

Get a real OS like Ubuntu for crying out loud. Best thing is that it's free and it works.

You must have been going full tilt on some crazy angle to cause that kind of damage....well done!

Yes he was! he even ripped the old fire alarm off the wall! As usual with Mr Brown its flat out all the time. He is not happy unless he breaks it.

It sure is! the ramp is over 6ft the roof is about 10ft maybe a bit more. He aint hit the roof yet! I did on the old ramp which was 3ft high using my B4 needless to say it bounced off the roof and broke a front arm

The new banked corner wall of death was never designed to hit flat out, you need to learn how to drive it and then slowly build up your speed. Go too fast though and you will over shoot the downramp (Which goes along the wall 15ft). Bit of practice and you can easily achieve a satisfying 10ft wall ride!!!
