I would think so, just add a rally shell and soften up the suspension a bit, and a set of rally style tyres  not sure what we will be running yet but Schumacher rally blocks are readily available ....

DCM 01-09-2011 08:13 PM

CML do a really cheap set of rally tyres.

The TC3 had a rally kit what you buy seperatley to turn into a rally car, not sure about a kit for the TC4..............

Clioman_2000 01-09-2011 08:20 PM

No one's running rallycross yet I'm afraid!

Not sure when we're going to be ready to trial this at the moment as the majority of people are just starting to get organised.
Quick role call of interested people seems to be:
hit5005 - Audi Quattro
peetbee - Metro 6R4
jackor33 - Escort Cosworth
John Howe?? - Focus WRC
Royston - mk1 Escort
mrspeedy - Focus WRC/Impreza
Dyna ?? - 911
Teaboy ?? - Escort
matisse - Impreza
sunbeam - once we get someone to produce a sunbeam shell! :D

I think we should have some rules for this - how about:
1) car must resemble a rally car - no touring car shells!
2) tyres - rally style so that we can have a bit of sideways action!
(Fastrax FAST0074W rally tyres are only £8.50ish for a set of 4 on wheels

Also dependent on how many racers we have, you may or may not be able to run in other classes on the same night as the rallycross trial night - I'd like to maintain a minimum of 3 rounds of qually plus finals for everyone at club. If we have too many heats it makes it difficult to achieve. Hope you all understamd and are happy with this.

Clioman_2000 05-09-2011 05:59 PM

so would there be a limit on motor size too?? the use of lipo's etc..... or is it just a free for all as long as the shell is a rallycross type?

peetbee 05-09-2011 08:21 PM

Let's keep it simple, it's only for fun after all!
Apart from rules above it's a free for all!

Clioman_2000 06-09-2011 11:22 AM

pete,

you can take me off the list for the time being fella.... i cant see me getting down there for a considerable time now as i just never seem to have the time anymore....

i'll do my best and will have to see what hapens but cant promise anyhing and cant commit to anything either..

ta!

but good luck with everything and i hav to admit the rallyx does look and sound awesome...

just one other suggeston though... maybe you could be on the lookout for some additional track surfaces for the rallycross series... something easy to lay down over the top of the carpet/flooring just for the rallycross event.... like some old felt from a shed roof or something like that.... just for the added fell of multiple surfaces....

just my 2p worth though...

peetbee 06-09-2011 12:06 PM

cheers for update, hopefully you'll be able to race with us sometime in the future.
I think everyone would agree that we have enough changes of surface on our standard tracks!

Matisse 06-09-2011 12:08 PM

2006 wrc subaru be alright? or is it not vintage enough? :)
