i think that clears it up:woot:.

in other words your right Jimmy (i think)

speaking of rules, i dont think its a good idea allowing the small lipos to be used. What i mean is that lipos should be either stick or saddle and the same size regardless of maker. I am refering to the small lipo used in the tlr 22. Cars have as long as i can remember been designed around the electrics used, not designing the electrics around the cars. I dont expect many to aggree with me on this.

peetbee 21-06-2011 06:49 PM

On that basis we would never have had saddle packs. Or even worse, does anyone else remember the Tamiya 'hump' packs - we could have been stuck with that!

adey 21-06-2011 07:13 PM

i take it you do you not think there should be any control over battery size then. I didnt think many would agree with me but it makes me wonder what buggies will be like in 10 years time in terms of changing the dimensions of the battery placement.

there are max dimensions, the smaller packs will fit in a car designed for bigger packs!

..does this mean the final C4.1 will have another shell? not the S2 shell?

When Cragg on the Worlds, didn't he only have 5 of the 6 cells wired up? ... To reduce the punch on the loose dirt ... Or am I talking out of my arris?

Not sure about the Worlds, but a few used to do this at the Tiverton national track.

Now I'd rather have them test it fully before releasing it to the public anyway than push a lemon on the market (DNX408 anyone?)

Cat sx2 anyone!

I pre-ordered mine today with Mark at MKRacing ...I hear that they will drop at the end of August...its like a big cocktail of S2 and newschool ali chassis madness that is waiting to burst!! Can't wait!

Richard Lowe 12-07-2011 10:12 AM

It's going to be well worth the wait!

I've got nothing but good things to say about the car after Oswestry, I managed my best ever 2wd national result with essentially zero running before the meeting, roll on Southport

Crash 12-07-2011 04:47 PM

Trying not to sound a complete donkey here but what's going to be included in the C4.1 kit?
Chassis
Gearbox
Rear bulkhead and shock tower

Anything else??

mark christopher 12-07-2011 06:03 PM

id say a body too and poss the extra idler gear, in fact knowing cml, everything bar the b4/4.1

neiloliver 12-07-2011 07:45 PM

Pre-Ordered. Cant Wait :)

You must also get the wing mounts, lipo tray, the battery strap, the brass fixing posts for the front bulkhead... and hopefully some CML C4.1 stickers (CML... if you have not done these then you have about a month to do so please :).

and a very small instruction manual?

oh, and very narrow velcro?

Anyone in the know about a latest release date or are we still looking end of August?

Starting to build up bits of a B4.1 already so I can get it to the track that little bit quicker!! So sad.

Rob

millzy 26-07-2011 04:59 PM

Still End of August I have been told by the CML rep

styleone 01-08-2011 11:12 PM

not long left guys

Well, first of August and only about 28 days to wait if what people are hearing is correct. I hope that CML do the right thing and release a full box content/tech spec before the release for all who have pre-ordered ...keep those fingers crossed guys cuz if the rumor mill is correct...only 28 sleeps to go ;)

Not that we are fiending or anything you must understand
