Tamiya Manta Ray for my 10th Birthday.

Acoms radio gear, mechanical speedo and 1200mah nicds :D

my first rc was one of those cheap buggies that flipped over when i was like 12, truck on one side, car on other, charge it for like 12 hours and get 10 mins drive time haha, but was the bees knees at that age lol... but my first proper one is a mardave v12, started just over year ago, im such a newbie :lol:

Technically my first was a Lectricar BMW, although it lasted two weeks before being replaced by an AYK RX2000.

My first proper car was a Mardave meteor. Upgraded with ball races then long wheel base. Mechanical spedo, Later got a Schumacher Topcat 2wd. Those were the days.

Remember it well! In about '86 I was given a Nikko Black Fox for christmas.
It was my pride and joy.
Always wanted a Grasshopper but I lost interest for 20+ years and have just returned to the hobby.

Almost same here - got Manta Ray QD and I was about 4-5 years old :D

I didn't get my first propper rc car till i was 34.
i got a Duratrax evader rtr buggy.tough as old boots.
then my rc racing obsession started when it took it racing to fastracks racing.
Im forty now and run tourer and buggy n still loving it.

This thread has had me checking google and youtube to find the cars I used to run. Brings back some good memories.

1. Tamiya King Cab (bought it second hand with loads of carbon upgrade bits, loved this truck)
