As I get older yellow wheels are needed...........easier to see:rolleyes:

RogerM 11-12-2007 10:07 PM

I disagree ... most of what we race on is green .. white stands out the best against green!!!

ben 11-12-2007 10:24 PM

Well said roger agree with you

bigred5765 11-12-2007 11:01 PM

bahhhaaaa ben bahhhaaaaaa

Mike Hudson 12-12-2007 12:52 AM

Colour wheels...

PINK ALL THE WAY!!! :D Never had a yellow set they make me feel sick :wtf:

GRIFF55 12-12-2007 03:29 PM

Hayato in the 2wd worlds had yellow;), he won?????
There were others in 2wd A main and 4wd A main too

Chris Doughty 12-12-2007 03:49 PM

he also used hotbodies shocks on his B4 but he still didn't seem to go any slower....

he must be one hell of a driver! :p

Chrislong 12-12-2007 03:53 PM

As long as all 4 match, then thats my first concern... But asof recently I have prefered Neon Yellow, it is far easier for me to see than white.

Seeing my wheels against the surface is not a factor, seeing my wheels in relation to the kerbs is important and against white/red/black/blue/stripey/tartan kerbs the white wheels are far easier to see.... for me.

Although if my shell didn't have any yellow in it, then they wouldn't suit and I wouldn't run them anyway. LOL.

Black wheels anyone??

Chris

Run black wheels for 2 meetings and didnt notice any problem with judging the corners....but its early days :D

Chrislong 12-12-2007 04:39 PM

The Tamiya Burger comes with Black wheels, I think they fit Losi fitment - I may give them a whirl one day if they're easy to get.

Personally, I can't wait for spokey JConcept wheels, I have always prefer spokes over dish in the past, seems to help me when I can see them spiinning..

ben 12-12-2007 05:07 PM

I actually like the new jconcepts wheels for some reason. Is their some new wheels coming out for the B44?

If Neil ran yellow rims on his B4 i would be more then a little shocked........ He used to give me soooo much stick for even trying Yellow rims!

Richard Lowe 12-12-2007 05:19 PM

I had yellow spokes on my cars for practice in florida :o (Jason had no white)

The JC wheels are really good, they feel nice and strong and are actually round unlike proline wheels. Something worth noting is the JC 4wd fronts are B44 fitting, so to use them or B44 wheels on current cars you need B44 hexes (they will fit the BJ4 and XX4 with no mods).
It looks like there are new Proline rears starting to make their way out, Lee's new B4 kit we built up on the night before the finals day (his X6 was that good lol) had the new rears.

jimmy 12-12-2007 05:41 PM

The JC wheels are nice, I only have the 2WD ones so Ive not had chance to use them (I've not raced 2wd since finland)

Are you sure the wheels are proline rich? I would have thought thunder tiger would be trying to phase out buying-in parts and making everything in China now? I've got some b44 front that I nicked in Japan and it's their own wheel from what I can see (no branding)

ben 12-12-2007 05:47 PM

You got any pics of the hexes on em jimmy. Cos thats the only thing that puts me off the losi wheels, the fact that they strip if they arent tightened up properly. Then andy myers wonderes why i was telling him to put an allen driver in his outdrive when he is tigtening his wheels up :D:D:eh?::p:p

lil ben

jimmy 12-12-2007 05:54 PM

will try dig em up

I did that ben, and broke an outdrive and cracked a hex!
