Back onto the subject of ramps. I had the mdf delivered to work on Friday so i should be able to get the ramps made for this Friday. ( And hopefully my prototype chassis ).

wes j. 29-01-2011 08:59 PM

No mate the prototype one will be made from hdpe just to see if it'll work. If it is successful i'll make the final one from alloy vega styleeeeeeee .

It's a Nylon based material but pretty rigid. The proto will have some flex in it but it should prove enough if the idea is any good. Should hopefully have something ready to show you Friday. Rob put some pics of your chassis up i hear it's the dogs swingers

Errr well its looks good - pity about the prodigious lack of rear end grip it had at Worskop today!!! I think it shall either be resigned to the bin or maybe used on friday nights cos it seemed to work on the carpet. Oh well - will have to think up something else to make now - maybe some carbon fibre placemats!!!!!! Ha...

Nylon? What, with polyester shock towers and a cotton cassis brace? Can't wait to see this one. Just bung it on a 40 degree wash when it's dirty?

wes j. 01-02-2011 10:19 PM

They look good, I'll give them a proper test next weekend!

I wonder how long they will last though, as I was looking at one and it had a fair few big chunks out of it!
