Welcome aboard Tony!! im sure many more will follow!
Ive been running the K cars for the past year+ and knew it would only be a matter of time before people 'see the light!' lol!
Awesome cars and the quality and strength is obvious, so tuneable as well..if people are thinking of a change, test drive them, you wont look back!!
If you want a test drive, give me a shout!

As for spares.. JE Spares is the place to go!

I have spoken to The Hobby Company and they told me that the 2WD kit and many of the spares are stocked by them but as the 511 is out of production, they dont have kits available.

I've been there and done the "Reds" and i'm extremely happy with the Tamiya 511 (the 201 is an unknown at the moment) so i'll stick with these for the forseeable future
The only obvious problem is if Tamiya decide to pull the plug on the 511 and concentrate on the 502. I don't really want to run a shaft drive car unless anyone can prove to me that it's better than the 511. By anyone I don't mean Lee because he'll make anything look good :woot: ....... if an average "Joe" shows massive improvement with the 502 then i'll maybe take the plunge, until then it's 511 all the way :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Not sure how much the Kyosho cars are but my 511 cost £280 delivered to my door (£30 of that was postage) ........... not many cars out there come that cheap :p
The only thing you need to change for sure on the car are the "cheese" ballstuds (pennies) so it's an "A" final car for under £300. All you have to do is be good enough to put it there :woot:

They didn't stock the kits when they were in production :woot:
Hobby Co suck .......... I live 10 miles from there and if I want anything for even the 201 they say 6 - 8 week delivery because they have zero stock of anything. That's of course, if you can get anyone there on the phone that recocnize the part numbers for anything TRF :( ...... they pay for the stuff to arrive on a barge instead of a plane

I can't see the point in having a load of team drivers to push a car, then have poor backup for joe blogs who has just spent an arm and a leg on one

Dave,
Sorry to hear you are not happy with parts supply.
I wish i could say that there are plenty of shops where you can go and buy parts for any of the 1/8th cars. but the fact is there are no shops doing this job fully anymore.
Its not just Kyosho its all brands.
Its very sad but look around all the race shops and many good model shops are closing. we discovered that most of the drivers that race at national level are getting direct from the suppliers. so what is the incentitive for a shop to stock such products?.
This expalins a lot why you dont see as many Kyosho cars at nationals as we would like due to us being a traditional supplier to the shops.
We are working on this especially at EP level where we not only great cars but at a good price compared to the market average.
There is some good news that a few shops are stocking well Lazer and Ultima Kits and Parts like PBM JE Spares and DMS. we are trying very hard to expand that.
I wish you good luck with Mugen its a good car but im not sure the parts supply would be different than any other manufacture out there in this class.
Just bear in mind we have the parts that we can send to any shop in 2 days.

That would be completely wrong of me:p

I cant make any promises that we will have a Kyosh champion next year but i can say that we are trying to get back into this market that we have missed for many years.
