I think a photo of an item, with a handwritten bit of paper with the Username on, OR the PC monitor in the background showing said users welcome page on Oople would be easy enough to do.

Anyone that uses paint etc to make a photo look like they've put their username on is pretty obvious i'd say so wouldn't be allowed - I think anything is better then the current system anyway so it's certainly not a bad place to start.

Good idea's but i think the picture with User name and address.... Yes the username picture part is good but some people may not be happy with giving their address or number out to a website where ANYONE can view it. Just thought it would be bad idea if for example a mass killing maniac has your address

I think the idea of the handwritten username on paper with the products is pretty good. I was going to suggest, 60-70% of the people on here know each other right? and every camera has a self timer, right? so why not set the timer on the camera and put your face in the picture with the products your selling?...You could even still include the username on paper so then the buyer has got your picture and username and product all in one picture. Then if anyone on oople knows that person (traded with them before, races with them, a friend or just someone that you know is well known) Leave a reply to their 'for sale' thread simply with a :thumbsup: to show that person can be trusted and is legit, and a :thumbdown: if the person has been flagged up as being suspicious in a previous occasion.

I've probably just ranted on making no sense and it being a complete kak idea....oh well :woot:

Any new idea would take a lot of work from the mods to keep on top of of it. There are many people some with 30 plus for sale post only who just use oople to sell without reading the rules someone would have to be deleting posts every 10-20 minutes.

Hi I am new on here and race at bedsrcmcc and use this site to get updates about racing. I also brows the for sale section occasionally. Why doesn't oOple create a template for the for sale section and you cannot sell anything unless you fill it in e.g

user name:
product:
price:
description of product:
location:
pictures:

You cannot sell unless all the information is filled in.
The pictures should also include a piece of paper with the sellers user name on it and the date.
Thats just what I think should happen.
