No the wishbones are angled so they fit funny if you swap them around, the ones we use are drilled at the back.

Does anyone know if there will be any slim4's at kiddie this weekend? Be interesting to see one go...?

I saw the BJ4 with losi rear end at Batley - lets just say it's not the future....

How do you think companies such as losi and associated design cars....they try evolution parts on a current model and see if any improvement is gained.
If the parts are an improvement then the are carried onto the next design of car, otherwise they are discarded....(see the losi development car on the front page of this site as an example)

Please do not rubbish cars such as mine and the atomic slim4 just because we are trying different concepts that are unusual or different from the norm....even the big boys make mistakes (losi re-releasing the xx4 because the xxx4 is not perfect at certain types of track)

OldTimer 03-04-2006 04:41 PM

@bert, i like to think we are improving a great car to suit are UK style tracks.

@ The Monk, i will be at kiddy on the sunday, and will be wearing a Atomic Carbon t-shirt if its warm :), so give me a shout if you see me.

I'm all for it mate, the more people modding cars the better. My own modding has been somewhat of a laughing stock, my brass tube buggy, but it was a heck of a lot more fun to race than any b4 etc...

OldTimer 03-04-2006 04:52 PM

Bert when did you see the Slim4 run at Cov ? if its was before last weekend, its running a lot better now than when you last saw it :D

It was one of your pinions that I used on the back of the car.......that will teach me to use your pinions in future.
Anyway..........how's the B4?

i saw it about amonth ago it looked good then:eek:

OldTimer 03-04-2006 05:43 PM

We have made some mods to the backend since then, also found a really good setup which i used at stotfold and worked great at Cov. Its a lot better at handling the bumps now than when you last saw it.

have you double decked it yet

OldTimer 03-04-2006 05:54 PM

Only at the front, i have a another prototype which is a true double deck front and back with a thinner chassis and knocks about 35-40grams off the weight of the current Slim4. The current spec Slim4 is about 20 grams over the weight limit.

darryl 03-04-2006 06:03 PM

i say fair play to all those who want to try something different, whether its good or bad at least they have the balls to give it ago, everyones got to start somewhere so the best of luck to both old timer and usagi in both your projects and i hope they both bring you success:thumleft:

Extreme 03-04-2006 09:30 PM

i will be running my bj4 worlds evo at kiddy,it has some awesome atomic carbon prototype parts on it!!:D
Thanks Old Timer.

Woo be cool honey-bun:) I'm all for modding cars, my xx4 is modded and my xxx4 before that was extreamly modded.

All i'm saying is that it's not the next thing to be comming from jconcepts.

I'm sure I have a spare pinion you can borrow (think it's robs anyway!):D
