from looking at the pics it seems perfectly feasible, just need a custom cf chassis with the battery slots in a different config.

would proberbly need more material in the rear where the gearbox mounts to it, just need to fillet or chamfer the 'empty' bits below the motor and the oposite side.

in fact, thinking about it, other than the belt having to run under the chassis it would be a pretty perfect 4WD elecs layout!

The belt runs under the chassis on the Bosscat ;)

I think you would tear the transmission to bits with modern power through an old CAT transmission, not the finest quality components, fine pitch belts and no slipper.

Hi-torque belts are still available from Schumacher as well. Bormac runs a 5.5 in his BossCat with no ill effects.
