So is anyone not Banned off raceshat?? I am too hahaha

mikeyscott 20-03-2010 08:03 PM

Just leaving rude and abbusive messages to him putting you in the same catagory? Now I agree that his site is utter rubbish, but just encourage people over hear and not get into a slagging match?

I think Oople just speaks for itself..

showtime 20-03-2010 08:08 PM

oople is a lot more tolerant than most sites!

there are people on here who ask literally hundreds of stupid questions with such obvious answers & unless they're rude like Stampy people still take the time to answer them, again & again &.....

Some of the people on Racechat are good, the 12th section use Racechat really well, but all in all Rob has done himself no favours at all.

Followers of 12th, like myself may well end up only using the new BRCA forum for 12th

I find it a very slow forum, I've recently been having a look around on it for some tourer info but there's not a lot there. I guess he had a fall out with xtreme as the pred forum has been locked, anyone know the background on that?

I've not had a run in with the site owner but hearing what you guys have been saying it sounds like he is the cause of the lack of users. This part of his oople user page made me smile

Why have you been banned
If you can see this message it means that you have been banned from this message board for unnaceptable post content, behaviour, or continual breach of the board rules.

How long are you banned for?
Some bans and temporary and some are lifetime bans - you will be sent an email outlining the reason and the period of the ban will be listed. Please note we work to a 2 strikes rule; if your ban was temporary and you get banned again at a later date that ban will always be a lifetime ban.

What if I re-register?
The system automatically looks of for banned user re-registering. If your ban was temporary it will be converted into a lifetime ban. Users with a lifetime ban who try to re-register will have legal action taken against them; we have found the relevant ISPs have been very helpful and Microsoft Hotmail, AOL and Yahoo have prosecuted their webmail users on our behalf where abuse has taken place - you have been WARNED!

Appeals procedure?
This is simple - there isn't one - our decision is final. However, if you genuinely feel we have made a mistake you can email [email protected] - please expect a very slow reply if you receive one at all.

Why did you get banned?
You can almost certainly work out why you were banned by looking in the 'Global Forum Rules' section.

Ben Turner 20-03-2010 08:21 PM

When I got banned, he told me to email [email protected], made me chuckle, trying to give the impression racechat is a massive company when its probs a stinky old man in his bedroom :p

I had a problem last year on RaceChat. I do a little bit of photography,it was one of the rounds of Buggy nats that i had taken some pictures at and i thought i would post up a link to my webby showing them. Well i didn't read or know the rules about links to other websites and my post got deleted.
I asked the question about it being deleted and got the response that i wasn't aloud to post the link unless i was a paying member,i didn't know :D,anyway 2 or 3 people ask for the link to be sent to them and they would post it up,i did so but 1 of them got banned for it  which is just complete and utter madness.Anyway the guy that got banned is also a member of the HMNC forum along with me,i apologised and it was all cool. T

The thing is i went back on to R/C and said that i didn't know about it and said sorry that i only wanted to show the pictures, he then goes and gives me 1 Years free subscription, Go figure that out :eh?:.

Carlin, i dont know your user name over on MB,but i'm a one of the MODS on there, if you have a problem with some one, just PM them to sort it out, weather its a member or the Mod/Admin team .

Its a friendly place, and at the end of the day we play with toy cars

I just want to clarify one thing:

This pillock has taken the genius stroke of banning one of his mod's?

Chrislong 20-03-2010 09:29 PM

Going back many years, I racked up a huge post count on RCracecrap. But it was turning crappy, lots of strong attitudes that just made me think "Probably a losser, bullied as a child, sat in his undies scared of the outside world". I left and joined DoughtyUK.net and here, which were both head and shoulders better - especially when Doughty had the shoutbox working, and Millzy abused it .

RCracecrap gives a bad impression of this enjoyable hobby. Whereas oOple captures the light-heartedness and friendlyness the hobby deserves.

More-fool them to whoever is daft enough to pay the subscription, pay to advertise, and I regret that there are bound to be newbies joining it unawares - and getting a bad impression of the racing side of this hobby.

well said chris

Chrislong 20-03-2010 09:44 PM

Ive just hung garlic round my neck and re-visited RCracecrap....

Well, you know when you go somewhere a lot, say for example, the pub. Then you don't go for a while, forget about why you went, remember why you stopped, then go back - but its relatively empty and the remaining people propping up the bar I don't recognise.... so you turn around and leave.

Well its just like that.

Now WHY would anybody visit it as an unsubscribed member and think "Ooooh I must pay to see more of this", its CRAP. That'd be like going to Southport and looking for the sea when it is out, not finding anything but damp sand but still go and buy a dingy.

No more poor examples.
