Just finished my 511 the off body shows its fitted with a brass lipo tray

Is this lipo tray for the TRF511 or is it something youve put in there off another model ??

jasonrcb 24-02-2010 03:01 PM

Its the rudebits b44 tray that i machined 3mm off either side and reshaped the back

They look like the titanium Tamiya ones. Pricey at about $20 a pair!

I used 3 racing titanium ones, way cheaper, but not blue.

Tamiya (and others) do blue alloy ones, but they bend or snap if you look at them.

Yeah they are the TRF Turnbuckles and yeah they are very expensive. About £60 a set for a tourer delivered.

I thought the 501x worlds cars came with titanum turnbuckles?
I guess they are steel then...still I have never broke one.
Really dont feel the need to change to titanum. I guess that's
just something extra to have on the car.
I have been bending ball-studds though, but not snapping them. The head of the studd gets bent
after so many bumps and tripples.....lol
