Mmm this thing is going to be good, I think I'll hold out buying a 2WD until this is released :p

Does anybody know which day(s) of the Toy Fair that the big names actually unveil all their newest products such as the Cougar (if they do) and the DNX408 e.t.c.. I happen to be in Germany a day before the fair starts so might be worth trying to get along for photos!

I Need one. I now need to bring my birthday forward by several months.

Maybe a bizarre question but I'm going to ask it anyhow.

What does the "SV" in Cougar SV stand for ?

Maybe someone at Schumacher has a Lambo tucked away somewhere!

@Ry @ JE Spares:be aware that the toy fair is not open public. You need an invitation as dealer (I suppose you are) or you have to prove that you are press.

is it really wishfull thinking or not?i think they look like big bores on that picture,

mikeyscott 14-01-2010 01:00 PM

Seriously are big bores needed on a 2WD car and depends what they define as big bores?

Team Losi and Associated shocks are bigger than the current Schumacher shocks so does that mean they are big bore shocks?

bigred5765 14-01-2010 01:33 PM

go watch the vid jimmy posted, then you can come back and edit your post lol

I could be totally wrong here..... but my guess is the Cat SX was the tenth (or so) generation of the "Cat" hence the roman numeral "X" for 10 and this will be the fifth generation of Cougar, hence "V" for 5.......

bigred5765 14-01-2010 01:42 PM

hay not bad there darren,i have no idea what they mean ill have to ask,

That's what I thought but the S made me doubt it hence my question.

Thanks for confirming and clarifying.
Erik

I assumed the S was for "Schumacher" or "Series" maybe....

jimmy 14-01-2010 02:19 PM

I think most manufacturers make up some letters that sound cool (usually containing a number or the letter X) and then sometimes try to make up a reason for it.

Lowie 14-01-2010 02:21 PM

Someone mentioned Ģ200 as a selling price.
Is that a valid presumption? Or very unlickely?

I'd agree, "S" is normally a roman letter for 1/2.

So that'd be Cat 5 and Cougar 2.5
