Hmmm tough one haha.

It's amazing how Women have a way of really bringing the choices down to a selection of 2-3 cars!

I'm guessing from her choices though it's got to be something quite sporty looking? Hard to find something that's sporty but with 4 seats and some fun to be had!

What about a nice spec A4 Cab?? 3.0 V6 one? Plenty of room for 4 people?

Yeah i like the VXR8 - The Bathurst edition looks really special too

Show her some of the Autovogue conversions and see if any of those take her fancy? There are some awesome looking BMW's and Audi's they do!

Check out this A4 3.0 TDi:

Or the 335i

As for the Scirocco they do - HOW nice is this!

I'm well pleased with mine, it is more of a GT than a GTI though.

Also being a non-turbo if you ever want more power it's not cheap, the only option you have on a Mk5 right now is a £10k turbo conversion - that does take you to 450bhp+ mind!

jimmy 16-10-2009 10:17 AM

Sounds like a bargain to me Rich

Richard Lowe 16-10-2009 11:06 AM

I wish it was £10

GRIFF55 16-10-2009 12:57 PM

ex-sco77morgan 16-10-2009 03:04 PM

Ofcoarse you can hunny !! Conv (with hardtop) or coupe is next decision ??

Nick Goodall 16-10-2009 03:53 PM

E46??

Surely the Coupe is the way forwards

Depending on how new you go, check out the "CS" which was available on the later ones, had all the nice bits from the CSL without being uncomfortable or too extreme......

Lovely car though, I bet you'll want to drive it more then she does :-)

ex-sco77morgan 16-10-2009 11:45 PM

That's it Rich, make it as fast as it sounds. ;)

I love the front of them but the back is absolutely awful.

GRIFF55 17-10-2009 09:36 AM

Look at all this september sunshine scott!!! get the roof off!!! as long as you have somewhere to store the hard roof (e46) Or just buy the new convertible. Less boot space mind;)

showtime 17-10-2009 10:05 AM

i wouldn't buy a convertible if i had the choice !

they generally handle worse than the tintop versions, the scuttle shake will drive you mad & they're usually slower due to the extra weight they have to build into them to stop them folding in half!
