My old 'splitscreen' B4 shell, inspired by VW campers. Not very exciting, just buggered about with the window masks. Loved the paintjob... everything, even though I sold the car I kept the shell.

I can never see the pics off Northern Racer in full size but I believe this is my old car... last one defo is... has the pink gear cover!

If someone could post the top image, so I could save it to my computer, that would be ace! :)

RCPS Mirage for the RC10, but if I had to take a contemporary body from a current car, the JConcepts Illusion is the prettiest body out there.

Hard to beat the original Cox Scorpion, though.

Is this the shell you are talking about?

This is my CAT Masami replica shell - ready to go on my Masami CAT '87 worlds replica, when I bloody finish it!

Just to add to the discussion...

I believe those were not "real" Masami colors. Masami was already sporting his multicolor flaming on green when he came to Romsey (87 WC). He was driving the original short Cat, the Schumacher team gave him the latest Cat XLS (or was it an XL ?).
Anyway, this is a legendary paint theme and Masami did won his first WC with it !;)

Yeah if you look at the 87 worlds video (I have it) you can see masamis real car in the concours competition, but I guess it was the swb shell.

The Deja Vu Tu for the FTB3.

stefke 13-04-2007 08:14 AM

My vote goes to the B2 shell (waaaaay pretier then the B3 shell) and the RC10 Mirage shells.

Although I always liked the original Cougar 2000 shells.

4WD : no question about it : the original Avante !

Elliott Hopkins 13-04-2007 03:01 PM

I asked Proline about the Deja Vu Tu shell for the AE B3 at the beginning of the week.

Apparently they've junked the mould, so there will be no more.

Which is annoying as I like my B3 and still race it.

Elliott.

make your own, send a knackered shell to kamtec modelsport and get them make you a mould and shell

Elliott Hopkins 13-04-2007 03:19 PM

It had occured to me to do that...

I think I might have found a source from a very nice shop in The Middle Of Nowhere, USA.

Hello Elliott,
I have a new uncut and unpainted B3 body shell as well as many new in packet spares for the last B3 model buggy. If you are interested drop me a PM.AS for having Kamtec do you up some repro's,I'd like to wish you luck there.I sent Keith my Cougar2 buggy shell and after more than 9 months and having to revert to complaining on numerous forums and websites he was forced into getting it done to avoid the loss of business.Another friend of mine sent Keith a couple of rare Schumacher bodies also about 12 months ago and he hasnt replied to any of his emails let alone made any.Cheers-Jason.

Thanks for letting me know.I wonder what they charge? Would you believe I have found someone here in Australia who has the ability to make repro bodies? So far we have repro'd the Schumacher Topcat,Procat and Nikko BRAT body sets.

Wasn't he also selling the shells on ebay before he had sent any bodies back to you.:o

Elliott Hopkins 13-04-2007 11:11 PM

Hello Jason, thanks for the kind offer of the B3 parts particularly the shell. Can I get back to you? The shell is starting to deteriorate, but will prbably last the year, I feel better now I have some options.

I'd heard about your problems with Kamtec on Tamiyaclub. I'm going to try my luck and get a repro Egress shell soon.

Elliott.
