Rando, it such a personal taste thing I can't really give you a starting setup, just whack it all on and try it.
Wayboarder, interesting I'll defo get one of those to try out with the new DMS spur gears I'll be getting.

Got mine the other day, and they look great.

As you may know, I can't race more than once every six week or so -- too many other commitments -- so I won't be able to try it until Nov 6 - 7 at Classic Hobbies, and Nov 8 at ARCS. That is, if one of the world's best R/C mechanics is able to fit the part.

In stock truck, a ratio of 29/70 or even 30/70 should be dialed.

Just posted this on the other thread about the new gears "Due onto the website this coming week. Press releases go out first then the products go online to see and to purchase. They can be ordered if you just add your requirment to the "special requests" box in checkout."

It works well, just the spring is needed, and I gotta open up and look at my car, but I dont recall it needing any shims to maximize the thread usage.
