What a scream! The drifting was emense, loved it, can't wait for the next one

peetbee 26-07-2009 11:26 PM

It was ace, a full heat of trucks with 9 of them being SC10s!!

Many thanks to everyone who braved the weather and came along today.
Sorry we had to cut the day short, but it was excellent and many thanks to Talywain for the use of their track.

Talywain will be holding another round of the WRCA regionals soon, more information will follow, if you fancy making a return trip with their SC10s!

Trucks were brilliant fun so good on outdoor tracks :woot:

I dont race electric at the moment (x6 sq build pending:D), just nitro, but just wanted to say the truck class was brilliant fun to watch yesterday at Taly & it looked like the drivers as well as spectators were really enjoying it, cant think of a more suitable 'support class' to get people interested in our sport.

was it as bad as devon? the clerk of the course called a halt to the meeting, as part of the track was flooded!

I wish I'd taken the sc10 out instead - it would have been a lot more fun and a whole lot less expensive

We managed to get 3 rounds of qualifying in, before the standing water got the better of us.

millzy 27-07-2009 09:07 AM

any one got pics of the track??

peetbee 27-07-2009 09:18 AM

Not sure Chris, but the layout was pretty much the same as for the national, just tweeked a bit so it wasn't too tight for the nitros.

ex-sco77morgan 27-07-2009 09:19 AM

Changes to the far side jump ??:D

Big G 27-07-2009 09:22 AM

DCM 27-07-2009 09:29 AM

my truck stalled.... mid air.... from a gust, much funny!! and the front going light down the straight :woot:

Grip was odd, some places you could wheelie, other places you could barely accelerate haha

I like the idea, but once again the build quality lets it down.

If only the up and down ramps of all the bits of track were somewhere near level all the way accross that could be an amazing track, as it is it is pot luck what happens once you go airborn, much like the straight, such a shame.

I really think that track could be a really good 10th circuit and an even better 1/8th circuit, but not unless it is built with 10th in mind.

millzy 27-07-2009 09:39 AM

pete--- looking nothing like the nat track lol
thats the the track we laid for the nitor national we had in Aprill

dude- you knew the state of the track befor the meeting was held
why come online ans say the same crap that was said back in May?-

im not coming on line telling the world and his dog what the plans are for tally over and over again.

The straight and the jumps have been mentioned over and over- to the pont where i knew it would be brought up at the regional - and knowing a few it will get said at club on friday

its reasons like this why ithe wrca is never going to improve - we get a national style track and insted of supporting it it gets slagged off by the drivers in its region

giving it was buit by 5 people i think its a bloody good job
