i forgot to take setup sheets to Italy, so I didn't get the setups I'm afraid. I've asked Hupo for the setup but he's not got around to it yet.

Looks like this thread been dead for a while....
im struggling to find a lipo setup for trf501xwe, the track i run on is a small medium traction track, couple of jumps covered with astro, dusty hard pack.
Right now im running everything standard as the manual!

been a long time for a post here why ? looking for a indoor clay setup

Springs

I recently purchased 501X WE. Ive been reading that the Tamiya springs, red, yellow and blue, are too soft and that most people are using AE springs. What is the general consensus on what springs to run? Are the tamiya ones fine or should I buy a set of AE springs?

Which sizes of piston holes was used by Hupo in his Euro's setup?

The car was 95% dialed out of the box for me.
I copied over half of Hupo's clay setup and it was even better.
However I need to buy 30WT Losi shock oil, that's the only thing I'm missing. And maybe some tamiya blue springs.
You can run AE springs but Id like to have my car mostly tamiya brand stuff on it.
I dunno I'm just not sure about mixing springs from other brands.

Lee is probably not online for a bit, so I'll reply on his behalf.... Set up from 2010 was not a million miles away from what he used in 2011. Changes that i recall are:-

Rear shocks in no2 position on tower, kyosho springs (as discussed elsewhere :D), 400wt MR33 oil.... Tamiya yellow spring with coil cut would be fine if you dont have K spring.

Front shocks 450wt MR33 oil (might have dropped that down to 425 or 400 for finals as understeer from sand was an issue, but normally 450 ok)

Ride height 19-20mm all round

Can anyone help with a set up for low grip (polished wood) for a 511??

Iv tried Lee's euro set up but get quite alot of body roll and not alot of steering??

Maybe if someone has a Worksop set up that might be a good place for me to start??
