All the Losi shock parts are compatible, just need to make sure you have the right length shock shafts in the shock body!

Cool

Yup got them on order from DMS.

why didn't you take the threaded shocks off the xxx4 and put the non threaded ones on it and sell it on? You wouldn't of had to spend £££ on more parts then...

The car came with two sets of non threaded shocks. One set on the car and one as spares

I've take the spare set of shocks and the car has been sold on. I have a complete set. I then ordered the required shorter parts from DMS. So at the moment the rears will be threaded and the fronts non

ohryt was pretty sure when i looked at that car in the pics they looked like threaded shocks on the car :bored::( the fronts never need much adjustment so you should be ok :)

jono83 19-05-2009 01:35 PM

Looking at the pic again, they're not threaded. Perhaps I should have waited..

Cool, just need springs now as I've taken the pink and green springs.. Strip them down, clean them and build them. Then hope for no leaks.. Will prob order some seals from Nortech.

Would like threaded on the fronts, but will leave that for the mo...

Anyone got a pic of the rear shock config?

mikeyscott 03-06-2009 01:25 PM

I've fitted one of the shocks to the rear and the spring lightly rubs on the turnbuckle. Do others have this?

Using original AE screw, losi top shock mount and nortech nuts

Flip the shock bushing and/or hubs.

I.e. put swap the bushings with the front, as for the hubs that'll affect the toe settings

jono83 03-06-2009 05:22 PM

not if there 0 degree standard ones

mikeyscott 03-06-2009 05:24 PM

Which I don't think they are as on the set-up station the other night they had loads of toe in :(

Time to find some standard ones..

if you use the tc5 shock caps on the asso shocks it makes them smooth and air free like a tamiya. otherwise, i understand and agree the losi shocks are nicer in stock form.
