TABLE TOP UPDATE

Right had a word with the guy who made it its not an easy job to change in a few hours, but we will have a look on Saturday what will be definatley done will be a replacement of the covering on the up and down slope with a covering with more grip. As whats on there seems to give hardly any grip and could be one reason for some complaning of the buggy acting diffrent everytime you go up the ramp so at speed or under accleration it could be sending the car off line. NEXT MEETING 17th MAY RND 2 SPRING CHAMPIONSHIP

Firstly well done guys, no doubt a lot of hard work as gone into getting the track to where it is, I haven't had a run on the track yet but will get over when possible.

When making a universal track your never going to do both perfectly and the lay outs are going to be limited. But by the looks of it you guys have done a good job with the space you have.

To me the track looks more than good enough to lay on a regional, fingers crossed we get to visit Leverton in 2010. Jim in regards of tyre ware the solution for the Leverton round would be to get the old nail varnish out and limit drivers to two sets of tyres for the day. :)

WEATHER

Ok at the momment the weather for our local area using the radar image(very hi-tec) shows showers maybe hitting our area from around 12 - 3 pm but after that not looking too bad. The club will be running, there maybe not to many Tourers turn up but it should not affect the buggy's to much should be great fun with a few slippy conditions the track is all weather and copes with the wet very well. Thers is full indoor pitting so your gear or yourselfs will not get wet if we have a heavy shower, unless its an absolute wash out Rnd 2 will be on and if not many turn up a chance to get a few extra points this round.
Hope to see you all Sunday Regards Darran(Leverton Raceway)

If your changing the slope on the table top i advise you make it longer ramp so its not as steep :)

Darrane 17-05-2009 08:00 PM

Thanks for the comments yes ash the ramp will be made longer so the angle is less and we are going to increase the legnth of the table top by around a metre. Thanks also to the lads from Holbeach again coming down and giving the club support, see you all at holbeach for Rnd 1 4WD Mid East Regional 24th May see you all Sunday thanks.

First Post!

Good Day today guys, the weather was unfortunate but still a very exciting day!

My views on the tabletop,
I think that it should be left the way it is because, the track shoud be a challenge if its not then its not fun! and would be too easy for some drivers.

I think that everyone has done a great job building the new track!:D

Thanks,
Rob.:)

Good Hustle 18-05-2009 09:27 AM

Well i was all for the current table top, but now Darrans mentioned making it a metre longer i'm all for the new one too.

i take it your a bit excited ash? should be good tho, u seemd to get on with my car ok.

i started the table top monday night, i would say the top is about a meter longer and the up ramp will be 3ft longer (to you ash thats just under a meter haha) but its looking ok, so if you do go down to practice u wont be able to do the tabletop just so u know.

will see most of you at holbeach on sunday, lets hope the weather stays fine eh.

quarter throttle 20-05-2009 03:16 PM

Dont worry Rob i know what 3ft is .. lol
Should be good ... cant go practise anyway coz i might brake ma cat ... even though i aint got it yet
Won't have any spares
Wouldn't be fun without table top anyway
