Second Point: I'm sure they will be allowed to be used together, when a motor is homl that is homl with a sintered rotor. Third Point: Are sintered less liable to fail or is that hear say? I have heard stories of sintered rotors failing as well as bonded. I have never seen either only what I have read, so don't take this to mean much. Sintered are also apparently a must for touring cars, but the first major race to allow sintered rotors was run with a brushless using a bonded rotor. |

i have ben runing touring at BIWS where lipo, brushless and sintered are allowed, seen std rotors go but no sintered and i have not seen or heard of sintered failing, to be honest i have also been told sintered are more important in the lower winds ie 5.5 and 4.5 cuz of the rpm,(which prob rings true to tc) but that all do benifit from running em. the way sintered is made makes then more durable some site are claiming if you run sintered the blue temp wire on novak an be removed to prevent thermalling defo my mamba has them and they do go well |
Mark, you seem to be missing my point  :wtf: I said that if all motors are available with both sintered and bonded rotors, then there is no problem - weather they have to be resubmitted - or if the EB change the list to suit does not matter a s@!*.
What does matter though, is if they do not make their range available for sale with sintered rotors throughout. If the only LRP/Nosram that is available with a sintered rotor continues to be a 4.5, then i'm not convinced that you should be allowed to take a sintered rotor and run it in a 6.5 - as that means you have to pay for a motor, take rotor out and buy another one. I'm not convinced this should be allowed. From what i have been told, sintered rotors should be more reliable than bonded, but it seems that they are not 100% bomb proof. I have heard of some failing. |
Once again the voice of reason and clarity is an 18 year old who by rights, main priority should be looking at porn.
