Well only the wait will tell, heard this for the past 7 years and it only gets worse, last year was the final straw for a lot of people

Heres my all new YZ2. Only ran it once on carpet at Mio in Oss. And oh my this is one hell of a car. Instantly felt like i Always driven it. So grippy, so fast.
First few rounds i drove it box setup. Felt good none the less. Then i ve slipped on the Yatabe springs and some (11g) brass weight in the nose and the car was a rocket.

Btw, the pics are with my TRF springs, the Yok ones werent ready yet. :)

Finally got mine wired up, just waiting on the body shell to get back out the paint shop.
Trying one of the SkyRC Toro 120a speedos, all seems to work as it should, but yeah, its all a tight fit, really had to try various configurations, can't wait to drive it.

Are those the proline high grip slicks? Have u tried em before, and if so on carpet or astro?

Have just rewired mine with a muchmore fleta pro and an xpert si-4431 from LMR. Using a full size servo was a challenge.

Where did you pass the receiver wire to get it into the mount?
I think Yokomo designers missed a trick here. Antenna mount should be on both sides IMO.

All those YZ-2's are looking great. Mine has been built a while ago, but I'm waiting to get my body all painted up. Have no time to drive it anytime soon. First time probably in March. :thumbdown:

Haha I am going to shorten them but I don't have the tool to do the shortening properly. I shortened my transponder lead by just cutting and soldering the wires again as it was wayyyy too long also.

My receiver wire runs along the battery foam for a few mm, then runs down the middle of the esc and the receiver, then round the back between the esc and servo. The idea was to keep the antenna as short as possible as I hate them. :D

have u tried these tyres yrself? Hows s the grip on carpet/astro?

They are indeed Venoms guys. Our club use them as a control tyre to protect the carpet for the touring and GT cars.
Have to say i was skeptical, I've only even run buggies on carpet using foams way back, but they grip, awful when cold, but they come up fast and i can't complain.
Do look forward to trying pins at the new club opening soon though.

Cant wait to shake mine down at TORCH tomorrow. have to say it has been the nicest build i have ever done. Thought xray was good, but this was even better.

Having run the Venoms (in various compounds) back-to-back vs pins, we found that they offer significantly lower grip, particularly side-bite when turning into the heart of the corner off-power. If you're running them as a control tyre, then they're OK because it's a level playing field. But if you're comparing them to pins, then there's no question in my mind that the pins are much better, even when part-worn.

Heres mine. Went ok friday. Very different to what i was driving. car felt good by round four, used kit rear springs, black front, 45wt front and 40wt rear on carpet.
Rest all stayed kit, though i did move the shocks in one hole on the rear arms, was struggling with the gear diff, really not liking that, so I've ordered a ball diff.

One thing i want to try was cells forward, but my install would allow it, so I've made a slight tweak by trimming the side pod a tad to allow the receiver to move forward some.

Found her really rear heavy on jumping, not as level as my TRF, but overall i was impressed, very grippy, just going in and out of corners i had to really be tamer than usual due to the geared diff being snaky, I'm still rubbish, but i hope i can move forward with this car.
