Tracks usually different for each round.

Only gripe I have is marshals who are next to each other on track talking and not watching there area whilst people are racing. And marshals watching the race instead of there area!. I marshalled a car, running the full length of the track nearly to turn it over when there was somebody about 2 meters away.... Watching other cars race.

Other than that a good days racing as is the norm. Looking forward to round two:)

We try to run a differnt layout each round but with similar obsticles/jumps.

For the vintage racers I can confirm that the mobile chicane that looks like a Tamiya Brat will be taken out of the layout and replaced with something quicker with better handling!

On the marshalling front, marshals are reminded to focus on the track section they are covering, but also abusive comments shouted at the marshals will not be tolerated. I didn't hear any, but prevention is better than cure!

Aren't you racing at the next round then Chris? :p

C'mon, it was the most "vintage" of the vintage racers. You can't lock her up for that. :(

Will the track be the same? or are you changing it each round?

We definitely have different layouts for each round.

Glad everyone liked it, had a bit of a panick with the crossover, as it was still in Bingham the night before lmao.. this will be included in the next layout, as I've already drawn it.

Really enjoyed racing the rc10 although quite scary after using the sv2 in a previous heat, no steering and no go..

The vintage worked very well on blue mini pins and green cut staggers, even on the gym mats.

Chris , the only problem I had with your brat, was you saying go left, the rc10 was a little vague in the steering department lmao..

I really enjoyed it Dave. And saying it was my first proper meet for 20+ years I was quite rusty so I'm hoping to do better next time

Here's the latest update regarding entries for Round 2 of the West Bridgford Model Car Club Indoor Off Road Championship, which will be held on 29th November:

2WD: 58 entries, 2 spare places
4WD: 20 entries plus 1 reserve ( Andrew Hicklin)
2WD Vintage: 10 entries, no reserves
4WD Vintage: 9 entries plus 1 Rally, no reserves
Rally: 10 entries, no reserves.

Due to the fantastic number of entries (108), we will only be running 1 Round of practice, so P1 will start at 8:15am. I will post a heat list in the next couple of days.

Dave Dodd 30-11-2014 07:12 PM

A big thanks to all the entries and making it a great day.
Unfortunately I've no photos of the top 3 of each class, as the drivers disappear before I get chance to take it... Hopefully we'll grab you at the next round..

Booking in for round 3 is open to all whom haven't already pre booked for all rounds

Hi all, anyone running the yokomo bmax4 or a shop that stocks Yokomo at the races?

I used to really enjoy coming to the Bridgford winter series before moving abroad, and I am in town on the 20th...could bring my radio and car but only limited spares!

Thanks!

The Doctor 01-12-2014 03:45 PM

Not sure if Dave has any Yok spares, maybe PM him and see.
