I really didn't mean anything bad by it, just that when it comes to car there's no consensus about what the clubman spirit is. People should run any car they want as long as it fits their own Clubman spirti. Be it a Tamiya, HPI or even Schumacher... In a way, any car in another class could fit in Clubman...

OK guys, my setup in the future will be:

* Usual modded up TL01 chassis.
* Cheetah 17.5T motor. (got tired of ESCs burning)
* Some sort of stickier rubber tyre, softer than 28s.

Is that a Cheetah esc you are running with the motor?

Im happy to match that setup, for me the spirit of clubman should be having fairly relaxed rules with a focus on having fun with your friends - friday night was a classic example of that.

Clubman was initially setup for "moderately paced" touring cars. Obviously the word "moderately" is open to interpretation which is why we recommended min 13T.

On the chassis front technically anything is welcome although the concensus seems to centre around plastic/tub chassis designs on not the expensive CF cars. If somebody turns up with a TRF/MI5/Xray with a double deck CF chassis then that wouldn't be in the spirit. For Tamiya its easy - so long as it starts with TT/TA/TB/TL then its fine

Yeah, Cheetah esc :) And no worries about running the same setup. It doesn't matter, I don't expect everyone to run the same thing all the time.
