Modelsports. delivery date has gone back from 10 March to 21 April..

alex97 07-03-2014 03:55 PM

Someone on modelsport forum has theres already.

spennyy2k 07-03-2014 03:58 PM

Apparently only 100 kits came into the country, I just happened to be in the shop as the delivery was opened

KRob 07-03-2014 04:06 PM

No time for a photo of them arriving - all went straight back out again :o

Unfortunately we didn't get our full allocation but the rest will follow on as soon as AE get their next batch.
It wasn't just us that didn't get the full allocation though and we're sorry if anyone has missed out for the moment, AE have more on the way and will get it sorted as quick as they can.

It's highly likely that AE get lots of different parts from lots of different suppliers so if they can't get enough B5M chassis for example it holds the whole kit up, yet they may have 1000 kits ready just missing 1 part.

No manufacturer is in the habit of holding back a highly demanded kit just for shits and giggles. They will be getting the kits out ASAP.

Spenny, any shock oil in the box ?
And did it has 2 spur gears ?

lloyd1 09-03-2014 10:24 AM

Yh i got oil and 2 spur gears :)

spennyy2k 09-03-2014 01:05 PM

Yep, bottle of 32.5wt oil and 81 and 75 tooth spurs (i think)

As far as kits in the country goes it's more likely that with the yanks starting to sugar tracks the mid motor car is in more demand there and as the uk is such a small market compared to the US they just sold the majority there

I built mine last night and this morning. I made an impulse purchase when I got an email notification from Modelsport on Thursday night. They hadn't sold out at that point. The kit went together easily and looks well made.

Origineelreclamebord 09-03-2014 08:15 PM

I had one in my hands today: it's a beautiful car! It has a chunky build in the right places, yet it's very elegant looking and appears lighter and more sculpted than many of it's brushless-era brethern. In addition to that it's also surprisingly lightweight. Even more surprising perhaps, despite that weight the chassis has as much flex as a concrete floor  If these things are anything to go by for durability and handling, B5M buyers will be well pleased with their purchase!

Juicy74 09-03-2014 09:17 PM

The rctech forum seem to have quite a number of QC issues. Anyone here have had problems with the build?

spennyy2k 09-03-2014 10:03 PM

No real problems with mine. Slight amount of play in the rear arms but nothing to worry about
