Definately would like to try one, got both donor cars say doing nothing... Im in no great rush, well there be a version with the top deck thats been mentioned?

jasonrcb 18-12-2013 05:43 PM

No problem Tom,i'm going to do a top deck over xmas and test it,if it improves the car then it would be something we could do,i really only want to do the deck as i think it looks ugly with the 2 holes on show,if i can get andy's car back im going to modify his top deck as that could be an option also

Tom3012 18-12-2013 09:23 PM

Im a sucker for things looking right so id be all up for a top deck, i got my TM2 anodised black because i didnt like the orange

Another cobra chassis in the finishing stages

Seen as this thread is getting bigger i,ll add to it aswell.

Have had chassis from ken and have put on a hpi cyber 10 rear(i race these anyway)using standard parts with saddle and either a b4 front or a madrat front, used madrat as iv'e got 2 complete cars and used a c4.1 chassis shape to get undertray and shell sorted. Went together well just waiting for low profile servo and shell and it should be on face book in the new year with jason bennet paintjob(madcow design)so watch there facebook for pictures.. jon kedge:thumbsup:

Is there a plan to deal with the front centre outdrive?

jasonrcb 05-01-2014 10:07 AM

You can cut it down if you want but it doesn't cause any issues,it was left like that as it wasn't my car to cut up,although i was very tempted

Lee24h 05-01-2014 12:30 PM

i can just see the servo wire meeting the outdrive

jasonrcb 05-01-2014 12:47 PM

I wouldn't take any notice of that wiring job,the wires are all now fixed to chassis and are no where near the outdrive,my frsky reciever fits underneath with no issues,im fairly sure everyone with the cars now have wired them to have no issues.

Car is looking good Ste, Just to let you know that I am now running the shocks on the front of mine. Car was good at the weekend, shame the driver let it down.

discothesnake 13-01-2014 05:17 PM

Hi there. Loving these conversions. Out of interest, which Yokomo 4wd are you basing the conversion on?

Dave

jasonrcb 13-01-2014 06:11 PM

Hi Dave,we have the bmax 2 4wd which a good few have shown interest in and if needs be we will also go down the 3 route, what we do is not always use the latest stuff but instead bring life back to the older version of the cars,if the 3 is a workable option then yes that would also be looked at

discothesnake 13-01-2014 06:44 PM

I was hoping you'd say the older version as I have one that probably won't get used. Keep me updated how it's going.

Many thanks.

jasonrcb 13-01-2014 06:49 PM

Thats what others have also said and will be where we will start,i will keep things updated as we go on here and on our facebook group
