Terrible way for the Predator legacy to fizzle out of existence with nothing more than a weak whimper....

Actually you know those firecrackers that don't go off, just sit there, slightly fiz and then a little puff of smoke. That. Or letting go of a blown up balloon! Thats what this reminds me of

Is no one taking over as I rilly won't to race mine but can't if parts arnt available 😞

DCM 22-07-2014 11:12 AM

Just had a quick look, the applied to be struck off in October 2013 and that was completed at the end of Feb 2014.

danielc3009 22-07-2014 12:32 PM

So what happened to their stock?

DCM 22-07-2014 01:00 PM

I would guess that is up to them, might of had to be liquidated if they had outstanding debt, they may just be sat on it.

I offered to buy any stock left in part or in whole from them. Officially, through my company, or for cash.

Never even had a reply back.

Hey ho.

DCM 22-07-2014 05:15 PM

Seems that Predator is just plagued with dumb owners..... If you can't/don't want to/failed to make a go of it, let someone else do it.

Hey ho.

It's strange ... When we have no money, if somebody want to give you money, you're agree ! No ?

Or the stock is empty ?

I offered to buy the company but nothing

Somebody must know the owner? What about kev Lee? Ask what happened? And why won't they sell the pred to someone else? Never had problems with orders. But I wish someone would take over and do right with this car already.

me too

Dudders 29-09-2014 07:37 AM

I tried to buy the rights, stock etc but kept hitting a brick wall. Seems total business sense evaded them at all times. Even when shutting doors they wanted top whack (or someone to lend them £40k for a new CBC machine!). Clueless.

It could have carried on...

restimax 29-09-2014 09:23 AM

anyones know if the brand and materials will be under pubblic auction in uk?

Dudders 29-09-2014 12:34 PM

Doubt it .... They still wanted big money for the name and rights, even thoughts it's not really a commercially viable product as is IMHO.

There's stuff in a shed somewhere in Kent...

DCM 29-09-2014 01:57 PM

Reverse engineer it?

Ron Burgundy 29-09-2014 06:40 PM

Reverse engineering would give them a quick and easy window for copyright i reckon... Better to let it sink down into the depths... Im not sure of the issues when the government or liquidator steps in but do you lose intellectual rights and the whole deal? What happens to the product if it is removed from someones ownership?

I wonder?

whats big money for the name and rights?

DCM 29-09-2014 08:24 PM

REverse engineer to get the CAD... send to China, they don't do copyright over there.....

Dudders 29-09-2014 09:20 PM

No copyright unless it's registered. Not sure there is much people can do in the RC buggy world.

restimax 30-09-2014 10:37 AM

mmmh, predator is businnes out more times in the years.... we can only wait... i'm need a new trasmission for back to use my x11-08.
