Ill run a tamiya hornet first phil :p

Ive been experimenting with dremeling my cr outdrives to accomidate the xx4 diff rings. Ive done one but it has a little bit of play in it side ways it sits nice and flat on the outdrive but moves slightly right to left will it be ok? Or i might just order a new set of cr outdrives and diff rings.

Ash, I've got some XX4 savers (trinity stylee) that you can have. I'm not usre if I'll be at the F3/4/5's, so if you PM me your address I'll post them over.

Will that stop them from clipping the edges off the outdrives as i havent actually broekit totally in half just taken the edge off it so it just pops out at full suspenion travel.

I think I undertstand what you're saying.

It should look like this

______
...____|
..|____
______|

but yours are like

______
...___/
..|___
_____\

If that's the case, then yes it should stop that. In either case of outdrive saver (trinity or losi) you need to check that the dogbone drive pin doesn't catch the saver on full droop.

Is it still the XX4 plastic outdrives you have?

Yup
