What problems have you found with the shocks the quality of them is very good but the orings are a little tight so should be no need to run anything else
|
Shockers
They seem so stiff no matter what oil i try have seen the build tips that pete has done iam going to have a play around with them but with 25 in front and 20 in rear they were like a f1 car still which wasnt helping me grip wise at chadderton but wen i ran it on astro it was fine yesterday with these other shockers so i guess its about having to play with the shockers bit more

Get a pack of the Yokomo High Grade Blue o-rings from MB Models, and a tube of green slime. They are a much better fit, and mine are super smooth now with these fitted. http://www.rccarshop.co.uk/index.php...-oil-free.html Other than that, as Kev says, they are very good quality shocks |

Rs lou, what color is that body paint?
|
Ran the car over the weekend and was amazing very easy to drive, with zero problems or breakages. Just a few small set-up changes required before the next meeting.
The colour is Tamiya PS-24 Fluorescent Orange and then backed in white, the shell does look a little red in the picture but it is Fluorescent Orange. Hope this helps.......... |
Out of interest
people keep saying this car feels more like a 1/8 car, but to a person like me that has never run a 1/8 car what does that mean? I am not talking about the solidity of the design, nor how it looks, but about the way it handles. Is it a case that the cornering, jumping, and how it handles the rough stuff simply different, or is it better so to speak. Again is it a case that it suits a certain type of driver over another?
I only ask this as I was at Maritime last weekend where Kevin took the win - that said Kevin can drive anything and make it look good. I did see several others going pretty well too. |

Haha no it's just the only room where I live with decent lighting!!
Gearing wise I have been running 23/86 on a 7.5 but it feels a bit off...should I be going up on pinion? |
possibly... with my 6.5tekin Gen2 motor I go from 21T to 23T
for a 7.5 I would recommend anything from 22T to 24T Quote:

Itching for a shot, need to wait till 5th Jan for Worksop:(.
|
Like that a lot Colin .
I have been looking at these on and off . I reckon it's what Durango should have done. The layout looks interesting. Good luck at Worksop. |
Yes Paul, I was very underwhelmed at Durango's new offering and this has loads of new innovative ideas and Sworkz have had some decent results with their 1/8th car and I loved the look of it so thought what the hell....
